My personal opinion is that the OEM fog lights are a waste of time. I had them on my RS and took them off.

They suck a fair amount of juice but don't really add much light. They plug holes that deliver cool air to the engine area. And they are expensive.

Instead, replace the Halogen headlights with a good set of HID's. KB Car Stuff makes a great set for a reasonable price. Don't go cheap or you will weep, like I did. Get a product that you KNOW will work with your Spyder electonics.

With HID's you will get a HUGE increase in visibilty, both distance and clarity at night + people will be able to see you better. They use less juice than the Halogens (with our anemic charging system every little bit helps).

I also added the ESI Day Runner Pucks and Day Runners. The Day Runners really give you great frontal visibility to other vehicles in the day time and the Day Runner Pucks work at least as well, if not better than the OEM fog lights for close lighting. And both of these systems together draw a very small amount of electricty.

There are other vendors that will have comperable products so these are not the only sources. It's just that this is what I have installed and they work great.

I have had the BRP driving lights installed on all my ,s. I let the dealer install them because I am not good with electrical stuff. The cost is out there though. Pretty expensive compared to DIY sets.

As far as light--it does not matter for me. I get good daylight visibility. Since we have days in the summer where it is light until 3:00 AM or so, I do not have to worry about driving at night. By this time of year when it is dark at 6:30 PM and soon to be 3:30 PM--I wont be driving the . I do my driving in the daytime mostly.

I also had the dealer install the foglights on my RT. I always planned on running them as additional daytime lighting to make ME more visible to oncoming traffic...

Thumbs up You can't go wrong with the Xenon Depot (KBCarStuff) HID replacements

I know you have an RS, but we switched out our Halogen Head Lights for the HID Kit offered by Steve at Xenon Depot (Site Sponsor on Home Page) & as BajaRon stated, a HUGE Improvement over stock. So much so, it made our factory fogs appear almost a dim yellowish, so we went ahead & ordered the HID Fog Replacement Kit as well. About to do that install soon, hopefully by the end of the week. Much Much better than stock, & at a WAY better cost, & we're able to do it ourselves Definitely Teddy Approved

That is also the reason Hubby and I had them installed on our RTs.
