Congratulations and have a great time! My wife (Spydergirl) and I went on a cross-country trip in September of 2009 on our (at the time) one Spyder. We rode from Pittsburg, CA to Danville, IN then down and over to eastern Tennessee for Spyders in the Smokies and then headed home. We rode 6,000 miles in 19 days and though we had a few minor trouble spots, we got through it unscathed.
Last year we took our (now two) Spyders separately to Sedona, AZ. On the way we stopped to see a friend in Las Vegas. After we left Sedona we visited friends in Phoenix and Jacumba, CA and then headed home. That trip was another 2,400 miles each and the only problem was a failed valve stem on one front wheel.
We have 38,000 miles combined on our two Spyders and we ride them everywhere. We run a chapter here in Northern California and are planning a west coast event. If you're interested in learning more about the west coast event, let me know.
Happy Spydering and
Geoff.

What a great time you'll have riding with your daughter----
Spyder #1 - 2008 GS SM5 Premier Edition #1977. RIP after 80,000 miles.
Spyder #2 - 2012 RT SM5. Traded in after 24,000 miles.
Spyder #3 - 2015 F3 SM6. Put 13,000 miles on and sold it.
Spyder #4 - 2017 F3 SM6. Too good of a deal to pass up!
