There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. ZX14R Rear fender tail mod on Spyder RS-S

Anyone done this that has pics they can share? The posted DIY thread no longer has the images referenced and the OP does not have them either. Thank you

I already have the ZX14R tail piece, & am ready to perform the mod. Just looking for some pics, particularly of drilling location/details?

Sorry been few years having trouble finding my pics too. Vaguely remember fender came with mounted bracket with threaded studs. Used that for pattern found correct size nuts, only drilled the pattern & a hole for electrical for license plate light. Will keep looking for pic or maybe take some new ones.

well FYI Spydergirl was nice enough to answer email:thumbup:
“The fender that I have installed is from a Kawasaki ZX-14. I did the modification back in 2013 and it's held up great over the years. I used some custom bracketing to attach the Kawi fender between the side panels and the undertail piece. I am sorry, that was a long time ago, so I don't remember exactly what I used, but it was things that can be readily found at a hardware store. “

Where as I just used the wheel well plastic 675AC996-E667-478F-9AE0-CD5A411C826B.jpegouter holes where the threaded studs fit & the center for electric. Don’t know if all the z1 fenders come with said bracket, hope this helps

I did the conversion as well so I'll see if I've got any photos kicking around. The ZX14R and 14 Concours both have the same rear fender but one of them (possibly the concours) has some extra metal brackets with luggage hooks which are handy for mounting mini indicators on.
