• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Zumo 660 Weather Cap

I would think the 590 rubber cap would work too.Not the plastic snap in one.

The rubber cap is decorative. Not weathertight. I seem to remember the instructions say that you need to install the weather cap before the rubber one. The rubber cap will offer some protection, but I certainly would not wash the Spyder with only the rubber cap on.

It does cover the top of the electrical pins and that's how BRP delivers the bike. Well at least in my case. As long as you don't shoot water under it will be fine.

The plastic cover is a better water protective cover.

The 660 and 665 are discontinued . Also The Wire harness you will find but getting pricer ever day. Garmin has discontinued these models..

I thought my Limited came with a 660.
But after reading this thread I looked and it is a 590.

My gut feeling is that the mount is exactly the same for both.
True or not ??

Not to worry, i always wash my spyder without the caps on.

On the website, it showed the plastic ones, which I ordered. What came in the mail today is two of the rubber ones. Don't know why.
The part number quoted and links in previous posts is for the rubber cap from brp. So if that is the part number you ordered. That is what you got.

Boy I would be a bit ticked off thinking you found the right thing and turned out to be something else. Even if you returned them you are out the ship costs.

Well, I know not to buy from them again, although they'd like my business per the enclosure. Fortunately I'm not out that much. And, yeah, the shipping was $8.50 to me; by the time I send them back I'm out more than the list price on the product. Oh well.

Just a :spyder2: thought

I assume that you have done a "Google search" for Zumo 660" and followed most of the likely leads.
I just did.....and followed a few......and it don't look good.

If nothing else, this thread convinced me to take better care of mine.

Is BRP still supplying a GPS with it's RT LIMITED ? If so, what model is it ??

I believe the new 2018 models have the GPS integrated into the instrument panel... I've got one on order due in January so will see how that works.
BIG F
