Zumo 660 Audio Question

With the BRP Zumo 660 installation, does the audio system play thru the Zumo and thus can be listened to via bluetooth, or does the Zumo play thru the audio system and thus you need a wired connection to listen to the Zumo and radio via a headset?

The Spyder comms system is only one way, Zumo to bike. Now saying that you can still use the Zumo as a Mp3 player and hook it to a blue tooth helmet to hear tunes and all the Zumo comms but this will cut you off from the bikes system.

the first time I tried it, I had the sound on for directions, while playing music, when it told me to turn or give directions it would mute the radio or ipod and start speaking, I think it was coming through the bikes external speakers, it was hard to understand, so I muted it till I get my BRP wired helmets.

but I like the feature of pressing on the upper left green corner, and the screen splits to give me written directions with the map still displayed.

Zumo plays through Spyder system

They have set their system up to the base for all of the other accessories. You can use the Zumo independently with bluetooth but as pointed out you won't be able to integrte into the rest of the system. Lonnie

I have the Zumo 660 and the Cardo Scala Rider Q2. The 660 is bluetoothed into the Q2. I have all my mp3 files on the 660 and listen as I ride. When the 660 has road directions, it overrides the mp3 player
