• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Zulu Indiana, the greatest place on earth....

The greatest place on earth to have your Spyder breakdown. We had just finished lunch in Fort Wayne, In where our waitress Pam told us to have a blessed day. Boy was she right on the money. We left there and went about 15 miles and I decided to stop for gas before we got out of the city. When I went to restart the Spyder after fueling it would not start. My husband and I tried checking fuses and battery connections but still nothing. I pulled out my phone and left a voice mail for Scotty, Nancystoy and then I used Yellow Pages, searching on Sea Doo as I figured that might get me to a Spyder dealer. I got a hold of RT Salesl and Nick said no problem he would send someone to pick up the bike and trailer.
About half an hour later Todd pulled up in their trusty old Ford pickup with a trailer. After hooking the RT up to BUDS he determined that they would need to take it to the shop. So it was off to beautiful, downtown Zulu (population 31 – including Todd). They tore it apart and found that a rubber seal around the fuse/relay box in the front trunk had not been installed properly and that allowed water into the compartment thus causing the fuses and relays to corrode and arc and the starter had seized.
It was getting close to their closing time and I was getting worried that we would either be delayed or would entirely miss SITS but they all stayed late to help us out. Five hours after we first called they had us back on the road. They took a starter off their demo spyder to use on mine and some of the fuses came from watercraft!
I can’t thank them enough Todd, Bobby, Nick and the others who I am sorry that I didn’t get their names were amazing. If you are in the Fort Wayne area and are looking for a superb dealer please be sure to stop by RT Sales, Zulu, Indiana.
And to top it off I bought a new Spyder shirt while I was there. See you at the barbecue, I’ll be the one in the red shirt with spider socks and a big smile!!!

Another dealer that understands how to take care of a one time customer when they are out touring away from home.

I've dealt with three dealers now while out on trips with minor repairs and all took care of me right away.

we all need to plug the number in all cell phones:clap:.Gotta love GREAT DEALERS THAT CARE, AND there employees:bowdown:

Let me put my Denver dealer on the list.

RPM Motor Sports: 303-232-7576

Is there a list somewhere of North American dealers? Sure would be handy when traveling. Would save trying to do a panic search in the phone directory in an emergency. Perhaps BPS could supply such a list and keep it updated on the internet as dealers often come and go..

Ya know, it just makes me happy to see a happy customer brag about good old American service (on a Canadian trike, eh) in their hour of need. This thread should be a mile long!

In another thread, Berts MegaMall was offering the BEST warranty and was immediately ripped. The thread had more than a handful of posts.
I've never been to Bert's service dept. but I have been to Bert's and they treated me like royalty inside. They have even organized a Spyder run that attracted 36 Spyders. If ever I need to use their service dept I wouldn't hesitate to try them out.

My dealer in Victorville is OK but nothing to jump up and down about. I've had the :spyder2: in the service dept about 5 times and twice it came out to go in LM. That was for the first steering recall. For my 12,000 mile inspection it was obvious that they didn't remove the tupperware other than the oil tank for the air box was still covered in oil. Another owner friend of mine told me how they scratched his trike. Perhaps the service manager is rushing his mechanics.

I finally took my trike to a mechanic near Corona who gave me coffee, and then proceeded to treat the WHOLE bike, not just the chief complaint. He was a :doorag:.

Four times I suggested to my dealer to have a homecoming for their :spyder2: customers, a BBQ followed by a run. This helps build customer loyalty. They don't return my emails, phone calls, etc. If I buy another :spyder2: it won't be there nor will I refer a customer there. They didn't even offer the BEST warranty to me.

Customer service is THE MOST important thing to me. I'll pay more for a product IF I get quality service for a quality product.
My dealer is 30 miles away, BERT's is 75, and my mechanic is 90.

Guess which one is the preferred.
