• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Yuma Spyder Ryde-In January 18-20, 2019

This, our 3rd Ryde-In, will be at the American Legion Post 19. https://www.facebook.com/AmericanLe...buR65-rbqOSH8k-wWV1brUq8x1ycQ55VNCJ1rlF_f4u_e Their facilities are quite nice and the club manager is looking forward to hosting this event.

There will be 4 planned ride routes; one a local points of interest ride, another to Parker Dam, one to Julian, CA and one to tour the Salton Sea area. Ride details, once finalized, will be emailed to registrants. Here is a link to the online registration form; https://form.jotform.com/83566766411161

All three days will be full ride days. One or more rides each day will be optionally 'guided' by a knowledgeable Spyder rider. As always, I encourage participants to form their own smaller groups if you'd like, or ride alone at your own pace, using the published ride information.

Friday nite 6-8 pm is a no-host Meet and Greet at the American Legion Hall. The kitchen will be open for anyone who wants food and soft drinks. The bar will also be open. PLEASE WEAR A NAME TAG (we will provide them) SHOWING YOUR SPYDERLOVERS.COM IDENTITY (e.g. UtahPete), as well as your actual name.

Saturday nite is a planned meal together from 6-8pm, also at the American Legion. Entrees will be BBQ chicken or Pork Loin, plus au gratin potatoes, salad and mixed vegetables. $6 a plate. This is informal, where I will typically spotlight Spyder groups represented and tell stories (some true) about some of the characters I've encountered at the event. Plan on getting to know each other at both the Meet 'n Greet as well as the dinner.

By the way, you will be paying the American Legion for your meals and refreshments; they don't really make any money on these meals, so please tip generously.

Breakfast buffet will be available Saturday and Sunday mornings from 8-10am for a nominal charge of $5

As with all Ryde-Ins, arrange for your own accommodations. Come for one, two or all three days. A limited number of select vendors will be on site all three days.

We are in! Yuma is great. We miss our friends, and a ride in is great fun! Thanks for putting it together, Pete!

Had foot surgery two weeks ago. If I can walk then, I can ride. And if I can ride, I will be there...... Jim

I just may be able to make that one as I turned in my two week notice last Thursday and am going to retire. We have friends who winter in Yuma and have been asking us down for the last several years

That would be great. Look forward to meeting you.

Just booked a room at my favorite Yuma Hotel/Motel,The La Fuente. Stayed there many times and like everything about it. NE corner of I-8 and 95. Just across the street from the Mall.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again. Ride In at Sierra Vista in March will be great also.

I don't know if it has been established yet, and this will be my first ryde-in so I don't know how it all goes....but are there organized rydes or do we just go whenever, wherever? Do you anticipate traveling into California or Mexico?

Excellent questions. There will be routes laid out for several rides. I will be posting those routes using Google maps. One or two of the rides will be led by someone who knows the area well and has volunteered their expertise. I will have a way for folks interested in each ride each day to meet and form their own group if they want to, or folks can just go their own way at their own pace and schedule. "Ride your own ride" is the mantra.

I do anticipate a ride to the Salton Sea area in California, and a ride to the border of Mexico (and over it for those who remembered to bring their passport).
