I was brought up with classical music.
One of my uncles was the musical director for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra
and also the chief music (LPs) buyer for J.L. Hudson in Detroit.
He used to send me LPs for birthdays and Xmas so I got a solid grounding in
all types of music!
