• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

youtube and music

...in the pink (Girls On Spyders)
I spent most of the day, monday putting together a video from the pics I took at Gatherin' of the Spyders, I don't have any fancy software...I just use windows Movie maker...has always been easy and worked well for me....today the music was a b_t_h....when I finally got the songs I wanted....Gretchen Wilson "Here for the party" and Toby Keith "Courtesy of the Red White & Blue" Youtube sent me 2 emails telling me they were copyrighted...so I changed the songs to some junk that youtube has for free and legal.....is this a new polocy of youtube? or did I just rip from the wrong source.....why bother to do the video if you have to have poopoo music.....anyone else have this problem?

I had that problem last year with the videos of our Colorado trip. I think I did two videos added music and facebook would not allow one of them due to copyright laws.

That's a common issue, it's happened to me also. What I do, is upload a music-less video to YouTube where I can add free music from their very extensive library. It takes some searching and time to find the right track, however. Good luck.

Upload your video, let YouTube finish all the processing phase. Come back to your account and select "edit" option for your video. On top of your video window you will see several tabs. One of them is "audio". Go there and you will find where to select an audio track for your video. Consult youtube's help if you need to.
Hope this helps 😊

You have to be very careful using copyrighted material on Youtube. Even if you are performing the music yourself.. you still need not only a mechanical copyright license... you will need a synchronization copyright license when putting a song to video or photos that you took.

It's not all that expensive to do.. but for the average person just wanting a riding video put to music... it's too much of a pain to mess with.... so I would just use some of the 'free' music they have available......
