Your Weather News @ October 2026 Edition

Got in a short ride yesterday, it was a little cool (low 60's), but the wind was nasty. Gusts up to and over 50mph.
Chaff and dust from the farmers fields was blowing all over the place.

Turkey Day weekend up here in the North, hope to get in some rides (the bike is filthy, it needs a bath)!

Happy Thanksgiving to all you living in Canada. Enjoy your Holiday weekend.

Welcome to another great weekend of Indiana. Most of the Indiana Farmers are finally finished or near. So far most had a really good harvest yield.

Currently overcast sky at 56°F. All of the yard has dried and turning brown. The trees are dropping leaves like crazy. I guess it is peak time for next 7 days.

Today's high at 77°F with clouds.
Low of 57°F and cloudy sky.
Should make for a good sunset too!
Enjoy your Ryde Times.

Sunday's high is 73°F with clouds.
Low at 54°F and cloudy.
Stay Healthy and Be Happy 😊

Thanks for Looking. (y)

Sunday morning and it's partly cloudy here in the desert. The rain forecast for last night happened, in buckets at times. There's more rain in the forecast for early tomorrow morning. Meanwhile, it's 74 degrees, humidity at 73%, Wind at 10 MPH with gusts to 24. The high today will only get to 83 and the overnight low will be 66 degrees. The energy monster that lives in my utility room (AC) has been turned off for now. But, I suspect it will be needed again in the coming weeks. Stay safe..... Jim

Here in Vermont, it was cloudy and breezy with highs in the 60's. The remnants of Hurricane Isaias will start to bring rain into the Southern part of Vermont by late afternoon and early evening. Rain will continue overnight, before ending around 6 AM (EST) Monday Morning. Computer models continue to push the rain South. Southern areas of the Massachusetts border could get locally 1/2 inch of rain, but the Northern parts, especially the Canadian Border area, will get little to no rain.

Monday will be mostly cloudy, relatively mild, with highs in the upper 50's to mid 60's. Additional rain is likely on Tuesday and Tuesday night. This is due to a slow moving cold front that will actually pull more moisture from Tropical Storm Rachel, which is located in the Pacific. A 1/2 inch or more of rain is likely, so this will be beneficial rain. Some showers could last into Wednesday morning, otherwise the rest of the day will be partly sunny with highs in the upper 40's and mid 50's. Lows will be chilly, in the 30's.

Thursday looks like one of the better days of the week, with mostly sunny skies. Friday and Saturday look more unsettled, with a chance for showers, though models differ with the intensity of that. Highs will be generally in the 50's with lows in the 30's and 40's.

Good Monday Morning weather news from Indiana. We have not received any of our scheduled weekend rain. I believe that it's already landed in other States. That is okay with me.
I got to enjoy my weekend.

Currently, we've got a mostly cloudy sky at 54°F. Indiana Farmers are done with their harvest for this Season. Most were very pleased with their yield. They were Not Happy about the Diesel Fuel Prices.

High today of 85°F with clouds this Morning.
Low at 65°F and afternoon sunshine.
I see another Spyder Ryde Time today.

Get out there and enjoy some today.
My Spyder is scheduled for sleeping come November.
That's the way it goes here in Indiana.

Stay Healthy and Enjoy the Time.

Well Monticello Utah over the weekend was interesting. Torrential rain at times, flash floods, trails washed out. Kept the Range Rover to the blacktop as the trails were a sea of mud and many washed away.

The remnants of Tropical Storm Rachel did its thing.

Played host to a dozen touring Harley riders from Quebec CA and France who were caught in a torrential rain storm, so they could dry out a bit. That was exciting.

Horrendous rain all the way back to northern Utah. Highway 6 from Green River to Price UT and up the Price Canyon from Helper to American Fork was challenging even a 4WD SUV. Raining hard here now in the Salt Lake valley, Monday morning.

Glad I took the SUV which was a shame as I like that journey on the Spyder. At one time I would have just done it, but I’m getting old and the weather more than lived up to the forecasted conditions. At least it didn’t snow.

I have experienced very heavy rain for long periods in that area. Three years ago, I spent 2 nights cooped up in a motel room in Spanish Fork waiting for a little break. The rain off the roof outside my window looked like a constant waterfall.

It's mostly cloudy in the desert today. Temperature is 73 degrees. The humidity is high (for us) at 65% and there is a constant 10 MPH breeze. The high today is expected to get to 79 and the overnight low will be 65 degrees. There's a very good chance for more desert rain starting late tonight and into mid-morning tomorrow. No big heavy storms, just wet weather. Stay safe..... Jim

October 13th and the weather here in Indiana is really great. We are still having a warming trend in Indiana. Gotta Love it while we have it.

Currently 71°F and clear sky. I will just enjoy myself with a little 'wind therapy'.
Today is a sunrise Spyder Ryde Time.

High of 88°F with sunshine 🌞
Low at 68 and sunny. Rain showers
possible late tonight. Stay Healthy and Enjoy your Day.

Life is sooooo Good for me.

The forecast for today says scattered rain showers and a high of 75 degrees here in the desert. I'm not sure about the scattered part. It's been raining non-stop since I got up this morning. Currently it's 66 degrees, humidity at 93%, and light breeze at 5-10 MPH. There is no blue sky in sight. It's a good day for fixing comfort food and lounging in the big ol' recliner. Eggs benedict this morning were yummy. Planning on BBQ ribs later. Stay safe..... Jim

Still raining. Looks like snow in the mountains so I'm postponing the Mount Nebo Loop ride for a day or two.

It's been a long time since we've had rain for four days straight like this at this time of year.

Glad we did Big Cottonwood Canyon last week as the road is closed due to flooding from time to time over the past few days.

Here's hoping for some better riding weather later this week and in to next. I'm not ready for winter yet.
