:chat:....Well yesterday's sunshine was great but still to chilly for a Spyder Ryde Time. The high was only 59°F. Currently we have mostly clear sky and 38°F.

Most of the leaves are down making for bare trees. Today I will try and finish my leaves. Still not a fun chore. Anyone who wants to come and help me, that would be awesome.

Today's sunshine is a 51°F with some clouds.
Low at 36°F. No rain here.

Well the wife said "it's time to plan for the Thanksgiving Dinner". I know what that means. It is really a good thing and I always enjoy.
We will be with her family this year.

Till next Time. ....

Here in Vermont, the blustery North winds that kept it so chilly on Tuesday will be diminishing as we go through the overnight hours. Skies will be clearing, and we are headed for our coldest night of the season so far.

With the high-pressure overhead, Wednesday will be a bright, sunny day. But the cold Arctic air mass will still be here too, so it will remain chilly.

Wednesday night will be an even colder night, with temps dropping into the mid-teens in most spots, and even into single digits in some cold pockets. :gaah:

Temps will moderate a little bit towards the end of the week and the weather will be fair.

They are continuing to watch a system out in the Atlantic that may begin backtracking towards the Northeast late Friday into Saturday; right now, it looks like this system will mainly affect our far North-Eastern areas with some rain showers and mountain snow showers. Then this storm system will move out of the area and skies will start clearing again for the rest of Saturday and Sunday, making for a fairly decent weekend.

A frontal system will come through on Monday with some rain shower activity, but it should clear out on Tuesday.

The current temp is: 31° and clear; Feels like temp is 23°F! :gaah:

:coffee:..Well I am almost done with the leaf thing. Currently we have overcast sky and 38°F.

High today of 58°F with some rain showers coming in the afternoon.
Low at 51°F. A little more rain into the evening.

Got most of the Thanksgiving stuff shopping done. Yes the price of dinner has gone up from last year. We even tried to 'buy smart'. ...:roflblack:....:roflblack:

Have yourself a Blessed Day. ....

11/14: 62 degrees, cloudy and a chance of more rain. The heavy stuff we got a few days ago sure messed up the dirt roads out back. I had to be real careful with the Kawi Mule yesterday when I went for a ride.

Beautiful winter weather here in the desert. Currently it's 72 degrees and heading for a high of 77 today. The wind is calm and there are no clouds. Humidity is 17%. We'll warm up to 81 tomorrow before cooling down to the low to mid 60s for the next few days. There is no rain in the forecast. My little convertible is my "go to" vehicle for errands, etc. when we experience this great weather. (Top down, of course). Old Buick sits neglected except for being kept on a battery maintainer. Stay safe..... Jim

Thursday 11/14/24

Well the rain is happening right now. It has been off and on most of the morning. We are still short on rain. So maybe we will see some serious amounts. Just no flooding.
Currently cloudy sky and rain showers at 52°F. So none of the freezing stuff.

Today's numbers are 56°F and 45°F.
Rain showers ending early afternoon.
Mostly cloudy day here.

Stay Healthy and Enjoy Life. ....

Friday 11/15/24

:coffee:....Welcome to Friday's edition of Weather News from Indiana. Yesterday rain was just what we needed here. Most of the standing water is gone. I for one am glad it was not the 'white stuff'. Hopefully we will not get to much till the Christmas break.
Currently cloudy sky and 46°F.

Today's high will be only 51°F with clouds.
Low at 42°F. No rain today.

Hope you are doing well and staying Healthy.
Ryde Times are getting less and less.
Till Next Time. ....

Happy Friday from the desert! Currently 65 degrees, sunny with no clouds, 3-5 MPH breeze, and humidity at 22%. The high today will be 72. There are a few clouds expected tomorrow morning but no rain in the forecast. Stay safe..... Jim

More of the same for us. 60's, blue sky and sunshine. The evenings are not going below 40. Frost warning for tonight.

Weekend 11/16 - 11/17

....Another weekend is finally here. Currently overcast sky and 47°F. Should be a sunny one but definitely not a warm up enough for me. As in doing a Spyder Ryde Time. Oh well, I guess some college football games are on my schedule.

Today's high at 52°F with clouds.
Low of 41°F and a little chance of evening rain.

Sunday high at 60°F with some rain showers.
Low of 50°F.

I hope you can enjoy your weekend and be Healthy.
Till Next Time. ....

Partly cloudy here in the desert. Currently 57 degrees and headed for a high of 62. There is a good-sized storm front pushing through the NW US. Bringing up to 2 feet of snow in the Cascades and Sierra Nevada's. We are only seeing the southern skirt of that storm front and no precipitation is expected for us. It'll be a bit warmer tomorrow.

Today our community is having our semi-annual patio sale. I think of it more like a junk exchange. People selling unwanted junk in their driveway and then buying their neighbor's unwanted junk. Oh well, it's all fun..... I purposely have absolutely nothing, zero, nada, on my calendar for today. Got up and made a big breakfast and watched the shoppers drive by. Now settled down in the recliner for some college football. All for now. I think I feel a nap coming on. Stay safe..... Jim

Monday 11/18/24

:spyder:...Wellcome back from a great weekend. I actually went on a half hour Spyder Ryde on Sunday. The Sunday rain never came to my local area. Currently cloudy and 55°F.

High today of 63°F with some clouds.
Low at 57°F. No rain today.

Have yourself a Blessed Day. ....

The desert SW is continuing to experience pleasant winter weather. Sunny with no clouds in sight. The high today will be 68 degrees. Overnight lows are in the mid-40s. We will experience a warming trend for the next few days. By Friday and Saturday, we will be in the low 80s before cooling back to the mid 60s next week. There is no rain in the forecast. I lived in Western Washington until retirement nearly 20 years ago. This time of year, I'm really, really happy to be in the desert. Stay safe..... Jim

HI All,

We had a disturbance that brought just a few showers on this Monday, which barely made a dent in the dry conditions that we have around the area. But a bigger storm system will bring much-needed rain late in the week, along with some mountain snow.

After a few lingering showers this Monday evening/night, things will dry out as we head into Tuesday, although there will still be lots of clouds around. There will be a few sunny breaks, mainly in our Southern areas.

And, we will get some sunshine on Wednesday, too, with a bubble of high pressure overhead.

A frontal system will be moving in by Thursday with that much-needed rain. As much as 0.75" to 1.50" of rain can be expected, possibly more. As the system curls up on itself and slows way down, rain showers will be persisting right through the weekend. And with a pool of cold air forming in the higher reaches of the atmosphere, that rain could change to heavy wet snow for the mountains, mainly above 1500 feet. But there could be some snow showers working their way down to the valley floors by the end of the week, too.

Current temp is 45 degrees, and mostly cloudy.

It has been mostly cloudy all day.

:chat:....Well yesterday evening was loaded with some rain showers. This morning it has been raining off and on most of the early morning. We have needed about 3 or 4 inches of rain for the last couple of months. Guess what, we may get are first 'snow showers' early Thursday morning. I really wanted to hold off until late December.

Currently cloudy sky and lite drizzle at 58°F.
May have some rain showers coming tonight.
Definitely not a Spyder Ryde Day.

High today of 65°F with clouds.
Low at 42°F.

Stay Healthy. ....

Near 60f today, then the bottom falls out.

Snow predicted for Wednesday night into Thursday.

Gotta get the oil changed in both my Spyder and my Miata this afternoon. Which means running into town and filling them both up with 93 octane after adding the required amount of Sta-bil.

I'll be changing the oils and then putting both to bed in the garage for a long winters nap.

Here in Vermont, we are headed for a decent day on Wednesday with lots of sunshine and above average temps. But that will be the calm before the storm - and the storm will be long-lasting one.

A low-pressure system will be moving in late Wednesday night into Thursday with good, much needed, soaking rain. As the temps drop overnight, the rain will change over to snow in the higher elevations, above 1500 feet. Heavy, wet snow will accumulate a few inches in the mountains leading into Friday.

This long duration storm will be going through some changes right through the weekend, but the bottom line is that there will continue to be on-off rain showers in valley locations, and on/off snow showers in the mountains.

Total precipitation will range from about 0.75" to 1.50" or more. Snowfall in the mountains will generally range from 3-6" with some deeper falls in the higher elevations of the Adirondacks.

The current temp is 41 degrees.

Stay safe and healthy out there, everyone! Also, keep those 3 wheels down!
