Friday 5/19/23

Finally Friday and currently clear sky and 50°F (10°C).
Weather people are saying that we might get some rain showers in the afternoon. Oh well, I got all my grass cut yesterday morning and it looks great. Now I have the weekend all freed up. What should I do?

I haven't been to the 500 Track for over 15 years. I received an offer from a friend who goes to the Indianapolis 500 Race almost every year. Today he and I will enjoy practice track time. Yes, I will have the sunscreen and a hat.

Today's numbers are nice 81°F with some clouds.
Low of 48°F. Maybe get a few rain showers in the afternoon.

Weekend Weather 5/20 - 5/21/23

Yesterday was a beautiful day with lots of sunshine. Currently we have mostly sunny and 60°F.
My Day at the 'Track' was much better than I expected. I had a friend who had a great ticket package for seeing the garage area, the pits and an awesome lunch. Of course I watched the cars run the track and got up some really fast times.
The top speed was over 237 mph.
I got a little to much sun and am paying for it now.

Today it's a little bit cooler than yesterday.
High of 67°F with sunshine. Low of 43°F and no rain in the forecast for today.

Sunday's high is 78°F, with sunshine. Low of 51°F
No rain.

Currently it's 93 here in the desert S.W. Today's high will be 100 and the overnight low will be a comfortable 71. We have a 5 MPH breeze and the humidity is currently 10%. I just got back from running some errands on the 3 wheeler. I was only out an hour but came home pretty wet from the heat. I usually don't get uncomfortable until it gets over 105. But today, my first time riding in warm weather this season, felt pretty darn hot. Filled the bike up and treated the fuel with Sea Foam as I may not ride in the heat for a few weeks. Stay safe..... Monday 5/22/23

:chat:...I had a major problem to get out of the way. One of those health billing issues.
Anyhow all is well here and we were able to come to terms.
Currently it is clear sky and 79°F. The yard needs to be cut again and this will be tomorrow's chore.

My tomatoe plant is doing quite well. It's 12" tall and looks great. My daughter's plant is almost 13" tall. But remember the biggest tomatoe on the vine is the winner, come July 4th.

Today was a beautiful sunshine day and more.
High of 82°F and sunny. Low of 64°F.
No rain in the forecast.

Tuesday 5/23/23

....I have another beautiful sunshine day on the horizon, currently 55°F. Going to cut some grass again, it's that weekly routine here in Indiana. Got to love it. .....:yes:

Today's numbers are 84°F with sunshine.
Low of 57°F and no rain in the forecast for Indiana.

Currently it's 71 degrees in the desert S.W. Heading for a high of 100 again today. As usual, we always seem to get to a couple degrees hotter than forecast. So, like yesterday, we'll probably see 102 or 103. Beautiful sunrise happening now. There are no clouds and the wind is calm. Stay safe..... Jim

It's currently almost 23:00/11:00 pm here in my part of Oz, and it's not quite 9° C outside (feels like 7° C tho!) - and that's pretty much the highest temp it's reached all day! :shocked:

With a minimum overnight of just 3° C & some fairly brisk winds to help increase the already bad enough wind chill, it was a bit of a brisk ride in the earlier hours this morning, and if it's not any warmer tomorrow morning, I might just pike out!! :yikes:

We are expecting to see the sun occasionally over the next few days, but that might be only glimpses thru the fairly solid cloud cover, maximums of 16-18° C, and a better'n 60% chance of significant rain before the weekend, possibly even light snow down to 500m, which just includes us! :banghead: Who'da thunk winter would be setting in early like this! And they've already got ski-able snow building up over in the Ozzie Alps, but the Forecasting bods are warning us to brace for an El Nino season bringing reduced rain/precipitation & increased temps during Winter & Spring... :dontknow:

Wednesday 5/24/23

...I can't believe that it's almost June. (Just 8 days till.) This weekend is Memorial Day and the Indianapolis 500 Race is Sunday. I really wanted May to go on forever. The weather was great for us and the Season of Spring is wonderful.

Yesterday was definitely a warm up day. I started cutting my grass at 8am finally finished at 11:30am. Yes, I have a lot of yard to cut.
I did have 30 minutes of 'break times' during my cutting of the yard.

Today is going to be about the same as yesterday.
Currently it is clear sky and 58°F.
High will be 85°F with sunshine. Low of 48°F.
Still No rain in the forecast.

Thursday 5/25/23

hyea:....Well another month is about over and Summer is just around the corner. I hope you enjoyed your Days of May and are saying Healthy. So far My May health issues have been mild.
I Thank God for Healing Power.

Currently clear sky and 52°F in Indiana.
Yesterday it was warm at 85°F the normal temperatures are usually in the middle 70s. I have been trying to get my LP Gas grill going again. I don't use it last year so it is a real nightmare. My wife said she would just buy a new Grill. But I am enjoying the time and challenge of making it work again. So far all I need is about $100.00 in parts.
She loves this new Grill at Lowe's but the price is too high for me. ....:gaah:

Today it's going to be about 70°F, I love the 70s
Low of 47°F. Still no rain in the forecast for Indiana.
The Farmers are having a field day and the corn and beans are going like crazy. Hopefully we will get some good rain showers soon.

Friday 5/26/2023

hyea:....Finally Friday and the Last one of May 2023. Yesterday was a 'resort day' a day just to kick back and enjoy. Currently 50'F (10'C). I have ordered my parts for the Out Door Grill that I am going to rebuild and use again. My wife like the price of 'only $125.00'. She said make it happen and soon! The parts should be in next week.


Today's numbers are 77'F with sunshine. Low of 47'F. Still NO Rain.

Memorial Day Weekend 2023

...Yes it is the Memorial Day Weekend. I hope everyone takes a little time to Remember those that served us in support of our Freedom.
I am thankful for those who gave their all.
Praying that the families will have peace and comfort.

Low at 58°F. Currently we have clear sky and 51°F.

It's currently 87 here in the desert S.W. We're headed for a high of 95 today. The overnight low will be 70. We have a 5 MPH breeze, humidity of 10% and no clouds. Beautiful weather for morning and evening activities. Mid-day, when it's warm, is pool time for me. There are some that enjoy early morning or late evening pool times. But I like it hot! Now that most of the Snowbirds have flown north our community pool can be enjoyed by those of us who are here year-round. Small groups of regulars exchanging recipes, rumors, medical problems, and other lies. It's a fun social activity while bobbing around for an hour or two. Stay safe..... Jim

High today was 86°F with sunshine.

98 and 68 for today's high and low in the desert S.W. Those are right on average temperatures for this date. Had a good visit with friends in the pool today. One thing a lot of people don't realize, even people who just live here in the winter, is starting this time of year and through the summer, we do not use the hot water taps in our showers or sinks. Because any freeze is so very rare, we don't bury our water pipes very deep. So when everything heats up for the summer so does our water. Just for giggles, yesterday I measured the "cold" water temperature coming out of my tap. It was 91.5 degrees and that was after running it a good period of time to make sure I was getting a true reading. Showers are comfortable but getting a cold one isn't going to happen during the summer. Our swimming pool has aerators that operate at night to keep the water from getting too hot. Stay safe..... ....Good Morning and another great day for me, currently 61°F. I hope you enjoyed your Long Weekend and spent a little time with family and friends.
Indiana is having a warm up week and we will be in the lower 90s this week. June is just around the corner and then look out. The 21st of June is the first day of Summer.
I remember those days and ready to enjoy the 'Summer of 2023'.

Today it's going to be 87°F with lots of sunshine.
Low at 63°F. No rain in Indiana Forecast for today.
We sure could use a rain shower this week.

Wednesday 5/31/23

Well yesterday's sunshine was great at 87°F, currently we are at 65°F.
Sunrise is at 6:18 am.
On another note, today is the Last Day of MAY.
So another month is almost gone. Enjoy your Day and Ryde if you're able.

Today's sunshine is going to be 87°F.
We received a 15 minute rain shower last night and now we have some extra humidity to deal with today.
Low of 63°F and maybe a little rain shower. We definitely need more rain. It has been over two weeks since we had a real rain.

The tomatoes are looking good and very green. Just getting a few buds.

The current temp here in VT. is 70 degrees & clear, sunny.


They will be cranking up the heat for the next few day of the work week.

There will be plenty of sunshine today and on Thursday with temps reaching the upper 80's and even in the low 90's on Thursday. On both days, we may get some smoke for the wildfires in Nova Scotia mainly in the southern part of Vermont during the morning hours.

On Thursday, there will be just a slight chance for isolated showers/T-showers or two, mainly over the higher terrain.

There will be a better chance for showers & t-storms late Friday into Friday night as a back-door cold front comes through from the north and east. It will be still hot on Friday for the most part of the day before that cold front comes through.

Humidity levels will still be fairly low, but they will come up just a bit on Friday before that front comes through.

Temps will be closer to normal over the weekend under the partly sunny skies, There is a chance for a few showers on both Monday & Tuesday of next week.
