:coffee:....Welcome to February Weather News. Here in Indiana we will have a slow warming up for our temperatures. Generally in the high 30s and 40s. Snow is always a possibility for us. Most have been ready for Spring to come and that is next month. So let's see what happens with February.

If you want, post up about your Local Area Weather News.
Please keep in mind that this is a 'Family Friendly' Forum.

Today's numbers are good at 51°F for the high. Currently cloudy and 34°F.
Supposed to be a dry day here.
Low at 34°F.

Stay Healthy and Be Happy.
Life is good for now. ....

So if you're able to get a Spyder Ryde, Please be Safe.
Hope to see you down the road sometime soon. ...........

Happy February 1st. I also note that this is a leap year.

We are starting off with cloudy....but...high today 67 and more of the same tomorrow. After the "cold snap" we are liking this much better. If we still had our Spyders, we would be out and about on them for sure.

Instead, we are forced to take the new Altima out for a spin. And, both of us are really liking it.

January 2024 left us with a very pleasant 80 degree day here in the desert. Did a road trip yesterday in the convertible. It looked like every bike/trike owner was out enjoying the day. Today we are seeing cloudy, breezy, and cooler weather. The high should get to 75 this afternoon. The weather map shows a significant rainstorm coming our way. It's going to be wet late tonight and into tomorrow morning.

Very few yards have actual grass here in the valley. Water is too precious so most have natural desert landscaping and rocks. Wet weather like we had about 10 days ago, and like is now coming, causes weeds to pop up out of "no where" in our gravel yards. I noticed a few yesterday. After this next storm passes it'll be time to spray the yard with killer stuff. I've got quite a large property so It's a couple hour process. I use a product named Knock-Out. The good news is that it's effective for a full year. And...... Easier than shoveling snow. Stay safe..... Jim

Low of 25°F. No rain in my Indiana Forecast for me.

Have yourself a Blessed Day. ....

.

Snow is starting. Sierra Nevada mountains are to get FEET of snow soon. We may get a foot to 18" here on the east face at 6000ft. Snowblower at the ready....

Weekend Weather 2/03/24 - 2/04/24

:chat:...Welcome to the 1st WEEKEND of February, currently we have overcast sky and 32°F. No rain in our forecast in Indiana. Going to be another grand day here. Off to do some errands today.

High today only 48°F with some clouds.
Low at 28°F.

Remember to Stay Healthy and Be Safe.

Sunday numbers are 50°F and 25°F. Going to be another Grey Day.
Enjoy your Weekend and Stay Warm. ....

The current temp here is 19 degrees and partly cloudy.

We will have colder temps for Sunday morning, through close to average for early February. Early morning lows will be in the single digits to low teens. The rest the day will be decent, with partly sunny skies and highs in the upper 20's to 30's. Sunday night will be seasonably cold again, then we'll have another quiet day for Monday.

We will have very quiet weather during the week. In fact, looks like the next chance for precipitation won't be until Saturday. Skies will be generally partly sunny during the week, with highs in the 20's and 30's early in the week, then warming into the upper 30's and lower 40's Thursday and Friday. Lows will be in the single digits and teens early, then into the 20's later in the week.

A weak system will bring the chance for showers and some mountain snow showers on Saturday. With the exception of no snowstorms in the forecast, conditions are looking good for skiing or other winter activities.

(Off topic, it looks like I'll be taking a ride on my sled next weekend too. Today, I went for a ride on my sled. It was nice to get out there, I went riding in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, near the Canadian and the New Hampshire borders).

I know it's too early to tell, but it looks like this might be the 2nd consecutive year of good snowpack for the west. Good news for the water reservoirs. Today is sunny and cool here in the desert. Temperature in the low 60s. Very light breeze and a few high, thin clouds. Rain expected again by the middle of next week. Tomorrow will be my day to kill the yard weeds. Stay safe..... Jim

Monday 2/05/24

:coffee:....Well another great weekend to enjoy has come and gone. Sunny and clear skies just wanted to say. Currently clear sky and 30°F in my local area. My yard is still a little soggy from last week rains. Spring is coming soon as per 'Groundhog' time will tell.

High today of 46°F with lots of sunshine.
Low at 27°F. No rain or snow in my forecast

Stay Safe and Be Happy. ....

It was sunny today here in Vermont. We have seen the sun since Oct.

Also, we will be having more sunshine this week. On Tuesday will be yet an other day with lots of sunshine after a few clouds mixed in during the morning.

As we head into Wednesday & Thursday, more clouds will mix in, but there will still be some sunshine. And it will be warming up by the end of the week, too, back into the 40's for highs for most of us.

Finally, there will be chance for some precipitation by the end of the week and into next weekend. A frontal system will bring the chance for some rain showers Friday night into Saturday. Sunday looks dry, but cloudy. And there is a chance for more rain/snow showers as we get into the start of next week.

The current temp is 27 degrees and clear.

:chat:....Well the weather is supposed to be warmer today, currently we have overcast sky at 33°F.
I guess the TV Weather News People are saying cooler temperatures for today.
You never know what you might get. Anyway I am going to enjoy the Day.

High of 43°F with some sun.
Low at 29°F and no rain.

Stay in the Game. ....

Yesterday was a screen door day with a high of 75 here in the desert. Today we have total cloud cover. The high will be 64 with scattered showers starting later this afternoon. There is a very light breeze..... less than 5 MPH. Clouds and scattered showers are in the forecast for the next 3 days. Stay safe..... Jim

Wednesday 2/07/24

:coffee:....Well yesterday's weather was doable for me. Currently we have clear skies and 29°F.

Today's high is 52°F with clouds.
Low of 40°F, No rain in the forecast for us.
Maybe get a little Spyder Ryde Time.

Stay Safe and Enjoy your Ryde. ....

We're continuing to have showers off and on here in the desert. Some were heavy enough to wake me up last night. With way too much time and nothing to do, my mind is wandering..... and wondering! Different times today the forecast shows percentages of rain chances. I looked up just what that means. A 30% chance means that somewhere in the forecast area there is a 30% chance of getting 0.01 inch of rain. So....... When I see a 30 or 40% chance, I should have a 60 or 70% chance of not getting rained on. But that doesn't seem to be reality. Anytime I see 30% or more chance of rain, I almost ALWAYS get rained on. Maybe it doesn't amount to the 0.01 minimum but, a 30% chance of rain means that there is about an 80% chance that I will get wet. Going stir crazy and anxiously awaiting sunshine's return. Now my brain hurts! Time for a nap..... Jim

Very heavy rain started about 45 minutes ago here in the desert. It's expected to continue until late this evening. The wind is blowing 15-20 MPH+. The wind-blown heavy rain looks like sheets of wavy water blowing down the street. I haven't checked the status of Lake Mead or Lake Powell but our local reservoirs are filling nicely. Yesterday we had a total inflow 258% of average while the outflow was only 84% of average. Great news for spring and summer water needs. Stay safe..... Jim
