Your Weather News @ FEBRUARY 2026 Edition

Well here in Vermont, they are forecasting snow for tonight and another round of Arctic air for this weekend.

Snow arrives tonight, then dangerous wind chill develops and is expected throughout the weekend. They have issued Two (2) First Alert Weather Days in effect for Saturday and Sunday due to dangerously cold wind chill (as low as -40) and even the potential blowing snow. They issued an Extreme Cold Warming, which is in effect for the North Country and Northern Adirondacks, and New York; and a Cold Weather Advisory for the Champlain Valley and Vermont. Convective snow will move in tonight and continue into Saturday morning, bringing 2-4" across most of the region, with localized higher amounts across the North Country.

From tonight until next week - Monday, the temps will be Frigid due to the Arctic Cold air mass that is currently over us. Day time highs will be in the single digits above/and below zero with the wind chill anywhere from -12 to -26.

Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, the temps will be in the 20's, it will still be cold, but not as cold as we've had.

Then on Thursday and beyond, the temps will be climbing towards a thaw.

The temps on Thursday will be closer to seasonal averages, with highs in the upper 20's and even low 30's possible. The temps on Thursday of next week will gradually moderate. As the extreme cold starts to move away from us here in Vermont -WOOO-HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

The current temp is 20 degrees and it's cloudy,

Well guess what? Everyday we are getting closer to Spring. Come on Spring!!!

So Welcome aboard to our first Weekend of February Weather.
I am feeling good about the coming weeks ahead. Currently cloudy sky at 14°F. Yesterday's snow was a bust for me. Just got a little sleat on my yard.
Most drivers have learned how to drive now. Yes, the city applies lots of salt!!
Bless them wonderful people 🙏

Today's high will be 23°F with clouds. Low at 14°F and cloudy. No snow here till next Thursday. That what I heard.

Sunday numbers are 26°F and 16°F.
Still mostly cloudy. No snow.
Everything is good for now.

Well the 'Opening Ceremony' for the
Olympics was last night. Kind of the usual family fare. Some good and some different. Bring on the events!

Oh Yeah, I believe that we will have an
interesting Football game. My favorite team was knocked out. No big deal!
Just go with the flow of things.

Stay Healthy and Be Warm.
Life is sooooo Good 👍
Till Next Time my Spyder Forum Friends.

Catching up on some domestic stuff with the Olympics providing background noise this morning. Currently in the desert it's 80 degrees. We'll eke out a couple more degrees before the day is done. Humidity is 21% and there is a pleasant 5 MPH breeze. This morning there were some high cirrus clouds filtering the sun. But they have now all melted away. I can see a few cumulus clouds peeking over the backside of the mountains to the NE. Other than that, we have crystal clear blue sky. Tomorrow's day and food for the Superbowl are all planned and ready. Stay safe..... Jim

GO SEAHAWKS!!!

Well here in Vermont it is Frigid/Cold.

We had a snow squall this morning. We ended up getting about 1- 3 inches of snow. The worst of the cold snap will be tonight into Sunday morning. Lows in the single digits and teens below zero, with a NorthWest wind of 10 to 15 mph, the wind chill may be as low as 40 below zero, especially in New York,

Sunday night will be another sub-zero night, though the wind will be light. We will warm up a bit on Monday, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the teens. Relatively pleasant temps are on the way for the rest of the week.

Tuesday will be partly sunny with highs in the upper teens to low 20's. Lows will be in the teens. A clipper system will likely bring a chance for light snow on Wednesday.

Snow showers are likely on Thursday, then Friday will have some flurries. Highs will be in the 20's and lows in the teens.

Hurry UP Spring and warm weather!

Well, some of you are like me. The Football game is over. Now I can
enjoy the 'Winter Olympics'. Go team USA 🇺🇸

Currently overcast sky at 23°F. No Snow or Rain today.
Just a little bit of sunshine this morning and a few hours
in the afternoon. This should make some of the snow melt.
I sure hope so!

High 34°F with some sunshine. 🌞
Low at 21°F and some clouds.
Doing good in my local area of
the world. Stay Healthy and Enjoy
your Day

Lower 70s here, sunshine for today. Warm breeze coming off the Gulf. Good to get back to normal temperatures after a week or two of days when it didn't get over 50 degrees. Finished fab work on a new battery box for the tractor. Maybe get some mounting holes drilled and a good coat of paint on it today. At least it will be warm enough to paint today. Still waiting on the new water pump. No news on when it might get here.

A high temperature of 40F today!!!

YaHoooo!

No riding but I'm excited for the temps to be above freezing!

45F tomorrow, maybe the ice in the gutters will melt, maybe not. lol

Well here in Vermont, it is still cold, but it is sunny, then this afternoon high temps will still be the teens, but that is already warmer than they were over the weekend.

Those high thin clouds are coming in ahead of a clipper expected to bring snow Tuesday. The temps on Tuesday will be in the 20's by tomorrow afternoon as the snow begins to move in.

Snow will start early in the afternoon on Tuesday. They are forecasting some heavy snow during the evening's commute.

The snow will taper to scattered showers into Wednesday morning, and light snow showers will continue on and off through the day Wednesday. By Wednesday night, we are expecting a widespread 2-4" of fresh snow across the region.

But then it will be drier for the end of the week, and we will be enjoying a warming trend. Temps will be in the upper 20's through this week and could even reach into the low 30's for next weekend. And it looks like it will stay milder through at least early next week.

WOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

No more Arctic cold outbreaks!!!

Latest update here in Vermont as of 9:11 PM (EST) - Tonight thru next Saturday, will be cold, partly sunny, and cloudy. The daytime temps will be from 25 to 29 degrees (above zero) and the lows will be anywhere from 7 to 17 degrees.

Tomorrow they are forecasting snow developing mainly after 4 PM (EST), becoming heavy at times between 2 PM and 6 PM (EST) during the evening commute. Roads will become slick quickly, especially on bridges and overpasses.
Tuesday night temps around 22 degrees. Snow will continue before 10 PM, then transition to snow showers, most likely between 10 PM and 3 AM (EST). Heavy snowfall rates are possible during the early evening. Difficult travel conditions are expected during the commute window. Snow fall will range anywhere from 1-3" to 4-9" from Tuesday to Wednesday Morning.

On Saturday, the temps will rise slightly as a Southerly flow develops ahead of the next system.

Then on Sunday, the highs will be around 35 degrees. Temps will reach well above normal for early February. There is a 40% chance of snow developing late evening into Monday as a potential coastal system approaches. This could end the regions extended cold snap, which is the longest cold snap we have had since Jan/Feb 2015. Overnight lows will be around 25 degrees.

Monday of next week and beyond - Potential Coastal System. A coastal low could develop late Sunday into Monday with mixed precipitation possible. They will continue to monitor this system as it develops. More seasonal conditions are expected as we transition into mid-February.

Sounds like some 'Sledding' is in the Vermont Forcast. If so I hope you will enjoy. Be Safe and Enjoy.

Well yesterday's sunshine was nice but todays is supposed to be better. The snow is melting away. That's what happens when we get closer to Spring. Currently cloudy sky at 34°F with some Fog.

High today at 54°F with some sun.
Low of 27°F with clouds.
Looking forward to Wednesday and
the temperatures are dropping again.
Definitely Flu season.

Hopefully this snow will not be a problem with Flooding. They are saying to keep the street drains
clear of debris.
Some people do but some
of us older can't. Hopefully the city's
crew will get it done.

I am enjoying the Olympics. Just wish NBC would have better schedules.
I know it's all about the Mighty Dollar.

Have yourself a Blessed Day and Stay Healthy. Till Next Time my Spyder Forum Friends. (y)

After having mid-80 degree temperatures the last few days, we're now starting to cool down. Today's high in the desert will be 80 degrees. Currently at high noon; 75 degrees, humidity at 24%, wind at 6 MPH with gusts to 11, mostly sunny with some high cirrus clouds. We'll continue to cool a bit each day and get down to a high of 70 on Friday. There are a few clouds in the Forecast but no serious threat of rain. I had a super Superbowl Sunday. Enjoyed watching the defensive strategy and dominance. For some the game might have been anticlimactic by lacking a lot of spectacular offensive scoring. But not me. Anyway, glad it's over. Olympics are now center stage. Go USA! Stay safe..... Jim

Little Blue, Yes, there will be sledding here in Vermont this week. and sometime next week and maybe beyond! I will be safe and enjoy the snowmobile trails while they last.

Now back to the Vermont Forecast - The current temp is 25 degrees above zero. The temps today were in the upper 20s and lower 30s. We did have some sunshine, but the clouds did increase quickly, with snow arriving through the afternoon and into this evening.

Snow started to fly across Northern New York early afternoon, expanding East into Vermont and New Hampshire by mid-afternoon. Snow fall rates of 1" to 1.5" per hour could lead to poor visibility and slick, snow covered roads.

Snow continues tonight, but becomes increasingly confined to the mountains as the lows dip into the teens and 20s. Mountain snow showers continue into Wednesday afternoon before wrapping up late Wednesday night. All said and done, most places will see a fairly widespread 2-4" of new snow, with higher amounts of 4-8"+ along the Western slopes and the mountains.

Thursday and Friday feature a mix of sunshine and clouds, with highs generally in the mid to upper 20s and overnight lows in the single digits and teens.

This weekend will be warmer, with a bit more cloud cover Saturday, and more sunshine Sunday. Highs will reach into the upper 20's and lower 30s. We are expecting it to be a few degrees warmer on Monday, with highs in the mid to upper 30s. Also, they are watching a system during that time, so we could see a few rain drops mixing in with potential snow.

I hope we get a gradual warm up here in Vermont. We have a lot of snow already.

Had some freezing drizzle overnight.
Temps are supposed to be just above freezing during the day and just below at night.
Prefect for making Maple syrup.
Pancake making time.:p:p
HI Raven,

The maple syrup season here in Vermont is right around the corner.

Wednesday morning and currently we have overcast sky at 29°F. Yesterday was the warmest day of 2026 in Indiana. (55°F) A lot of the snow melted away. We can now see the grass again. So far no problems dealing with water.

Today's high at 40°F with sunshine.
Low of 22°F and sunny.
I love the warmer temperatures.
Bring on Spring!!!

The wife and I are enjoying the Olympics. Hopefully we will get to see the bobsled program. We have seen enough of the skating and are ready to move on to other events.

Have a Blessed Day and Stay Healthy.
Till Next Time my Friend. (y)

Well here in Vermont we will be having one last Arctic blast of cold weather on Thursday. After Thursday the temps will start to climb well above normal by early next week. A dramatic shift from the cold we have had all month and almost all winter.

Tonight temps will be around 20 degrees above zero. We will get additional accumulation under 1" possible of snow.

Thursday, will be cold and becoming Frigid with decreasing clouds. The temps will be in the 20's with a wind chill near 15 degrees, North winds 9-13 mph. Snow showers are possible before 10 AM, then gradually becoming mostly sunny. Night time temps will be low around 5 degrees, wind chill -1. Partly cloudy, with dangerous wind chill possible, especially on exposed skin.

Friday will be cold and mostly sunny, temps near 28 degrees. This will start the warming trend.

Saturday, temps will be in the 30's and mostly sunny. Steady warming through the day.
Overnight lows will be in the 20's.

Sunday, the temps will be in the 30's, and mostly sunny, steady warming through the day. Over night lows around 20.

Monday temps will be in the high 30's, mostly cloudy. The temps will be above normal for the first time this month. Overnight lows will be in the 20's.

Tuesday will be chilly, with temps in the upper 30's, and mostly cloudy. Temps continue climbing well above normal for mid-February. The overnight lows will be in the upper 20s.

Then Wednesday and beyond will be mild with rain/snow possible.
The unseasonably warm weather pattern holds, through moisture begins to move in, bringing the potential for a rain-snow mix at lower elevations. Temps will moderate into the upper 20's for the overnight lows.

WOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Deanna

Going to be a mostly cloudy day. This morning we have some fog
and 23°F. The snow is slowly disappearing from the warmer
temperatures. It will be great to see the lawn again. Not that I am
eager to start cutting grass.

Hopefully most of you will enjoy the warm up from the rising of
the temperatures. Kind of nice to see Spring is coming soon.
Maybe get the vehicles washed this week.

Today's high should be about 48°F with some clouds.
Low at 25°F. That will make the water areas freeze.
Have yourself a great day.
Maybe watch some of the Olympics, if you want to.
The wife and I have been enjoying the Olympics.
