The current temp here in Vermont is 39°F.

We don't have any snow on the ground.

This month continues to throw us curveballs, as patchy freezing fog is possible overnight and into early Christmas morning. So a few icy spots on the road aren't out of the question. However, it won't be anything like the slippery conditions that occurred Saturday night. Christmas will be mostly cloudy skies for the afternoon. No snow is in the forecast, so many will be disappointed with that, but for traveling, it's looking ideal. Highs will be in the upper 30's and mid 40's.

Tuesday will be another mild day, with mostly cloudy skies and highs in the 40's. A few of spots will even hit 50 degrees! Then a complex storm system will bring showers Wednesday and Thursday. Thankfully it won't be the magnitude of the huge rainstorm last week. Some computer models are hinting at some freezing rain for Thursday, especially in the North, so that's something they will be keeping an eye on.

December, and 2023 as a whole, was very active, but will be ending on a quiet and pleasant note. Some snow showers are likely Friday, then it will be dry with some sunshine over the weekend. Highs will be mainly in the mid 30's, with lows in the 20's.

(Off topic, I hope we get snow in January, my sled is getting restless. :roflblack: ).

Merry Christmas!!

I was able to enjoy time with my family. Life is good for me and my family.
Oh yeah, I enjoyed the delicious food at dinner.

Don't know if I will be able to enjoy it. Calling for cloudy sky.

Today's high at 50°F is now. Then it will start dropping off to 43°F in the afternoon.
A cold front is pushing it's self into Indiana.
I am not happy about the front.
Low at 29°F with clouds in the evening.

The current temp in Vermont is 43 degrees, mostly cloudy.

The days after Christmas will be just as mild and Spring-like as the holiday itself. There will be pockets of locally dense fog to start the day, mainly outside of the Champlain Valley. Fog and low clouds will lift as the morning progresses, but it will still be a mainly cloudy day.

Clouds will be the theme for much of the week, alongside those mild temps. Highs will be in the mid 40's for the next couple days and remain warm for this time of the year overnight. Lows for the next couple nights will be in the upper 30's to low 40's, which is warmer than our normal daytime highs in late December. The warm temps will set the stage for yet another rain event. Fortunately, this one won't dump as much rain as the last one.

We remain dry through the daylight hours of Tuesday. Scattered showers will develop this evening across northern New York and spread east into Vermont over the course of the evening and early overnight hours.

More wind spread rain develops on Wednesday, with some wet weather lingering into Thursday. Totals should be less than an inch.

Temps trend cooler late in the week. Any leftover showers will begin to transition over to snow showers. Once that system clears out, we'll be looking at a quiet end to 2023, with temps closer to normal, in the lower 30's.

:coffee:....Good Morning and Welcome to my local area weather news. Currently we have overcast sky and 39°F. Yesterday was a good day but chilly. No rain/showers came to my house, they went out 50 miles to the north. I was okay with that result. So far no rain or snow issues here for us. This will be changing in the next couple of days. Tonight and tomorrow morning the TV News People are saying rain and snow showers are possible.

Low of 33°F. Chances of getting some rain showers or snow showers is at 50%.
I will be doing my errands today so I can be Safe.

Here in the Mountain West, we have not really had any snow since November/1st part of December. There is no snow on the ground and not much showing in the mountains. Ski resorts are opened, and most lifts are going, but the snow is not deep and there's no powder. Skyes are clear and beautiful but cold. I am going to get the Spyder out in a few minutes and at least ride it around the block.

:coffee:...I can't believe that it's almost January 2024. This Year seems to have raced by so fast.
Still no snow on the ground. Yesterday's rain was good and lasted for almost one hour.
It was just a little drizzle. Enough to get everything wet and a little messy.
Currently we have overcast sky and 34°F.

Today we are scheduled for 40°F as the high. A little bit of sunshine in the afternoon.
Low of 32°F and no precipitation.
No Ryde Times for me today.
Stay in the Game and play Fair. ....

Here in the desert, it's currently 64 degrees and heading for a high of 71. The sunshine is being filtered through thin high clouds. The sky is a mixture of blue and white. Breeze is light.... less than 5 MPH. Our community swimming pool is filled with out-of-towners visiting during the holiday season. It's way too cold for us old desert dwellers but the visitors, especially the kids, seem to be having a good time. Stay safe..... Jim

Today it's going to be chilly at best. High of 37°F with clouds. Low about 28°F.
Remember to enjoy the good things of Life. ....

It's a beautiful day here in the desert. A good way to send out the old and welcome the new year. Yesterday we had a high of 75 but today it's much cooler. Currently it's 54 degrees and the high will get to a cool 61 today. There are no clouds or wind. Perfect day to show off that ugly Christmas sweater. Stay safe and see y'all next year! Jim

The spousal unit and I rode the two F3-S’s to Brownsville for lunch today. Got in a 66-mile ride on the last day of the year. Temps upper 70’s*F, clear skies, but quite windy from the south.
