Your Weather News @ August 2025 Edition

Yesterday's sunshine was to hot. But I got all of the grass cut early morning.
The wife said it looks good.
Currently clear sky and 70°F.

High today of 90°F with sunshine.
Low at 70°F with some clouds.
Maybe get a evening rain shower.

Have a Beautiful Day.
Enjoy your Ryde Times.
Till Next Time. (y)

The weather in Utah is very dry, be sure to drink plenty of water. We have not had hardly any rain since May, and here in Spring City the lawns are all burnt to a crisp. If you are riding thru Utah, try and get your ride time done by 1:00 or 2:00 pm. It is too hot later.
Also, for some reason, riders have gone nuts this week, wrecking their bikes and rider fatalities. Too many are single vehicle accidents. Please be careful here and enjoy our beautiful State.

Good Morning to you from Indiana, USA. Currently cloudy sky at 70°F. Never had any rain here yesterday 😒. It all went to the south of our location.
So the yard is looking very dry and starting to go brown.

High today of only 84°F which is a good thing.
Low at 64°F and cloudy.
The humidity is at 89% for me.

Stay Healthy and Enjoy Life.

Sunny and beautiful here in Mount Vernon, WA. Currently; 72 degrees, breeze of 6 MPH, humidity at 61%. The high today will be 76 degrees and the overnight low will be 57 degrees. Yesterday we hit a blistering high of 89 degrees. Very unusual to get that hot around these parts. It did cool down pretty quickly after sunset. Looks like we're headed for a few day of rain beginning Friday. I'll be moving to a new, so far unknown, location then. Stay safe... Jim

Today, I moved from Mount Vernon to Edmonds, WA. It rained all day. Expecting more rain overnight, then Saturday will bring drier weather. It's currently 65°F, but feels cooler with the wet weather. The high was 67° and overnight low will be 60°... not much change. Humidity is 90% and there is a pretty good breeze... about 15 MPH.

Edmonds is a suburb about 10 miles North of Seattle. It's smack dab in the middle of what's called the Puget Sound Convergence Zone. Weather charges the Pacific Coast from the West. When storms get to Washington State, they hit a big wall - The Olympic Mountains. Storms dump a bunch of rain between the Olympics and the Coast, creating the only rain forest in the lower 48. Annual average rainfall is about 140 inches. What's left of those storms split, with parts going North and parts going South around the Olympics. Then those storms come back together East of the Olympics and create the convergence zone. And that's where I am today...

Edmonds is one of, at least what I consider to be, my hometowns. We moved from North Seattle to the suburbs of Edmonds when I was a young teenager. The biggest change I've seen over the years is the traffic congestion. It's terrible!!! Very difficult to get around. I did drive by my old High School and house. Somehow, they seem a little smaller than I remember. Stay safe... Jim

Well have had Key Lime Pie in Key West also. We spent a labor day some years back in KW. WE kind of made a tasting for the 4 or 5 days of different shops take on it. Kind of fun. So our weather here in VERY Sunny Daytona area, freaking hot. Like surface of the sun hot. 95+ in daytime with heat index of 110-115 and humid. Argh cant wait for October.

Well another KeyLime Pie fan 😋. Indiana State Fair had a 'KeyLime Pie' Shake this year. I was on vacation and never made it to the Fair.

Currently cloudy sky at 70°F with a possible chance of rain this morning.
Humidity is terrible at 97%. Still summer in Indiana.

High today of 88°F with sunshine.
A little chance of afternoon rain showers today.
Low at 71°F with some clouds.
Enjoyed the day.

Sunday is looking about the same.
High of 89°F with a chance of morning rain showers.
Low at 69°F with some clouds.
Have a Safe Weekend and Stay Healthy.

The last couple of days were spent with friends in Seattle. It was mostly overcast and partly sunny. The days were in the low 70°s and nights were in the high 50°s. No rain in the area since last Friday.

Today I traveled to Sequim, WA. Very pleasant top-down drive with temperatures in the upper 60°s. Currently it's 68° (high for the day), mostly cloudy with a few sunny breaks, wind at 4 MPH, and humidity at 65%. The overnight low will be 54°. I'm staying here with my sister and BiL for the next week, or sooner if they kick me out. Then I'll be heading down the Washington and Oregon Coasts on my way back to the desert. Stay safe... Jim

Aha! Sequim, WA! I visited there waaay back, while I was based in Seattle. Lovely place, but now somewhat more famous as the (re)birthplace of Tally Ho, the 1910 Wooden Sailing boat rebuilt by Leo, of Sampson Boat Co; a Gaff rigged sail boat that won the 1927 Fastnet Yatch Race and is now on its way, sailing back to the UK, hopefully to get there in time to sail in the 2027 Fastnet Race! Here's a quick time-lapse - Enjoy! (y)
