• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Your top speed on Spyder?

On my 2008 GS...been up in the 115 range plenty of times. Up to 126 a few times.. according to the speedometer.. which we all know is far too enthusiastic about your real speed. In the real world via GPS I'd say around 117-119 tops for me.

Had my RT up to 105 a few times.

Pretty smooth ride at those speeds.

Can't remember what Doc's official Salt Flats speed was.. but that's a far more accurate measurement than us hitting 115 for a few seconds on the highway....

i feel the need .. the need for speed

i ride with a goldwing 1800 a lot and he goads me on a lot he also says i ride my 2 cylinder spyder to hard lol

had sustained 115 having a RS total stock power plant a large touring wind shield givi bags and my overly large weight on board

done 109 2 up till the governor started poking my ribs

105 towing my loaded trailer passing a semi on 2 lane

PS it will out run most all Hardlys on the road lol i love that it shuts them up when i do that

Got to 104 in a mile stretch. Was rather disappointed. But that was when it just had 300 miles on it. Have no idea if it would do better now but I sorta doubt it. It appeared to be all in.

In another MaGGie Valley...;)

Doc hit 118 in the quarter-mile at the Spyderfest Drags. He has the paperwork to prove it. He got much faster in Bonneville. Of course he was Turbocharged.
I was able to hit 120 on a flat deserted road in Nevada south of Ely. I think I had a bit of a tail wind.

My 2008 GS...119 mph (on speedo) trying to keep up with Firefly on a 3 car pass on a 2 lane highway! nojoke

The 2012 RT-S...not so much...

115 MPH pretty much maxed out with the tall touring shield, three stuffed hard cases and my fat behind on it.

The RS saw triple digits this weekend.. two-up, passing a string of cars at 7,000ft. elevation. I have no doubts it will do more.
