• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

"The US Senate today voted to eliminate broadband privacy rules that would have required ISPs to get consumers' explicit consent before selling or sharing Web browsing data and other private information with advertisers and other companies."

That was March 23, 2017.

This still has to be voted on.

If you think that you get too many unwanted e-mails now, wait if this bill is passed. So, wherever you click, you'll be followed.

I don't do social media, I do research on products online, but really don't buy much online.
However, when I'm in certain stores, it's amazing how they know the aisle I'm in, and will send me advertising for products in that aisle. I now turn my WiFi and data off when in any store.

There already watching.

Every time I go to Yahoo, the articles are infused with ads from all the places I have gone to in the last few months. I don't carry a sophisticated I-Phone, so that problem is avoided.

There is no privacy anymore. Big Brother is, and has been watching. I am guessing they have already latched on to "big brother."

When you shop online, whomever you purchase from, they have someone or software tracking you. What I am talking about is your Internet Service Provider will be determining your buying habits, and then they will provide your information to whomever wants to pay for it. I'm not saying all ISP's will do that. Anyhow, like Bob said, the sky is not falling yet.

What..!! 😲

We have been there for some time....everything you do can be tracked....but agreed it could get worse...:banghead::banghead:

Who cares! It was never private anyway! Worry about something important....like tire pressure or belt vibration!:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: Anyway the government already knows that Bob has almost 80000 posts!
