• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I love my maps in hand and curious about BUTLER MAPS.....kinda pricey, compared to AAA free!! So wanted to get reviews from my guru clan. Thanks and it is a gorgeous sunny going for ryde day in Chelan...hope the same in your area...

Sorry Karyl never used them as AAA are free and they work well, and I get new ones every year so that can add up.

See you at Spyderfest :ohyea:

Don't know. ..!!

Always loved AAA trip tiks and always got them when traveling. Just flip the page with foldouts for all the major cities along the way and free. I could have it on the tank and just flip the pages as I went along. I still carry a paper map for full view and use the gps for the details like in town....no help but with you on AAA.

I have a full set of the Butler maps. I got them as a Christmas present. However, I don't really care for them. I prefer the AAA maps. I don't care for the graphics and their route suggestions/road ratings. The lines (roads) are too thick and not that precise, and I don't care for their color coding system. (I studied cartography in college, so I'm kind of picky about maps.) The AAA maps are actually better, but the Butler maps are far more durable and will travel better.

Well, my opinion and worth every penny you pay for it, is if you are a map person, these look like the kind of maps that you would want to have. Their master collection and CD to me looks like a good deal. Your dime; spend it how you like.:ohyea::thumbup::dontknow::popcorn:

I have all the Butler maps including the first one published. They last a long time and have blowups of points of interest. Much easier to read and the paper is treated with something that allow many uses without them falling apart. Worth every penny!
