• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Non-Cage Enthusiasts! Your expertise is highly valued & sought after.

Quick summary: I am deeply experienced rider: Have been to 46 states on motorcycles and owned 21 cycles and have logged over 600K miles. This is my first CAN-AM and I am sooooooo hooked! Bought this weekend and put on 300 miles. I now know I need TWO ITEMS:

First: Windscreen
Second: Side cases
Model: 2018 F3-S

Challenge to you! I beg for your expertise please!
Buying the Spyder broke the bank a bit for me. What budget mindful, yet not overly sacrificing function/style do you recommend for: Windscreen & Side cases?

Windscreen:
I am familiar with: BlueRidge, BakeBuilt and am leaning toward: CalSci https://calsci.com/motorcycleinfo/SpyderF3prod.html for $265.
Side cases: Aside from Mutaza, which appears to be only affordable hard side case option, I think I am forced to look at Soft side cases. Are there any recommendations for budget friendly Hard cases or side cases? Trying to stay under $300. I am extremely handy so modifications to hard or side is welcomed if final result is savings with great product.

Please help and hope to see you on the road!

From my own personal experience I would do a backrest before windshield & it would be the route 129 not blue ridge. Then Baja Ron sway bar, then Shad saddlebags then Lamonster Cat delete. I could go on for days about all the other add-ons but I think that covers the basics. Oh yeah, the foam hand grips are cheap & make a huge difference.

A lot of members use F4 windshields on their spyders, https://f4customs.com/can-am-spyder-f3-and-f3-s.html.

:agree: ……. and I have the " Mutaza bags " and I think they are great after some mounting frame mods ( there are pics on the forum from those who have done them ) …. my big concern was having a bag / bags pop off …. I drilled a small hole thru the inside of the bag into a frame rail … I then welded a nut to the frame rail …. I put a bolt onto the nut from the inside of the bag ….it ain't going anywhere until the bolt is removed ( from the inside of the locked bag ,...… good luck … Mike :ohyea:

I put a Madstad screen on my 2017 F3L and I love it because the screen is adjustable for different riding situations.

Before you buy a windshield ................. LOOK at all of them on a Spyder, at least one of them (not going to name it) really looks like it was a third thought rather than a good idea.

These are not cheap, be sure you buy one that is well built, solid material and easy to care for with good customer service.

Please keep up with suggestions as I am new and learning also.
Looking for 2017 F3 S windshield also and most of the recommendations are for L or T.
As I understand S is different.
