There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. You never know what a day will bring

Well Done, Alex!

Lamont, please extend my personal congratulations to Alex and let Chris know I will be thinking about and praying for your whole family. I had the pleasure of talking to Alex about his hopes and aspirations at your home during your barbeque in September, and as I said to you then, he is a fine young man. I am sure you and Chris are rightly proud of him!

Best regards,

Bruce

Lamont, I wish I had read this before calling you Friday afternoon. I wouldn't have bothered you. But, deep down you and Chris must be proud of your boys, in choosing to join the Military.

I always believed it takes a special breed to join up at anytime but especially now. Living where I do, I'm surrounded by military bases and personal, both active and retired. During all times of day and night, I hear the F-22 Raptor's returning to Tyndall AFB and there approach path is right over my house. Talking with a neighbor he said, don't you hate the noise these jets make? I said, how can I hate the sound of Freedom? He just looked up and shook his head saying that's so true, your right and everytime I see and hear one, I'll not only appreaciate the noise but, also our boys and girls flying them.

I told him to also think of all the people on the ground guiding them and from now on, I'll think of your son Alex as one of those guys. My prayers are with you, Chris and your two sons in the Marines, that they will all return to you safely.:firstplace:

Lamont, I wish to thank you for your sons and how you’ve raised them. The call to service that your boys have answered is a very special one. I see America’s best and brightest every day going through training here in the Air force and I am enormously proud of every one of those young men and women. They are indeed, all very special to choose to answer their country’s call during this time in our nation.

Alex has chosen a career field that is one of the top ten most difficult that the Air Force has. He is from good stock and has good values with strong roots, he will succeed.

Get Skype to stay in touch… so much better than the cards and letters I had to contend with.:firstplace:

it takes a special person to serve.

I have served over 18yrs in the ARMY, i did it not for me but to protect our freedom, thats what your boys are doing. I thank them and you and your wife to for letting them.

A Prayer for Families of Our Troops

Father, may the families of our military personnel—their spouses, children, and parents—cast all their cares and burdens upon You. Instead of being worried or filled with anxiety, may they pray about everything that concerns them and everything that concerns their childs’ life and deployment. Then cause Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Grant all our military troops this same peace, and let them feel the love we have for them even though we are far apart.

Awesome prayer. Just sent that one up and will continue to do so.

Today started pretty much like every other day. Had nothing planned other than the usual grind and then my wife came in the office and everything changed. My son Alex has been training for a job in the Air Force and the plan was for him to ship out some time in the middle of January. Well the recruiter called and one of the guys dropped out and if he could get to his office in Johnson City before noon he could ship out today. :yikes:

None of us was ready for that and it kind of suxs that it was just before Thanksgiving and we thought we would be spending Christmas with him too. Bottom line is he really wants this job (combat controller) and if he can pass the schools there is a 17K bonus waiting for him. I guess they have a 95% drop rate but so far he has passed all their test. Part of me wanted to ask him to wait but I know this is really important to him.

We get him there on time and said our goodbyes. It was really tuff to see him go as we now have three boys serving our country and we have a empty home. His two brothers are in the Marine Corp and Alex is now in the Air Force. I'm proud of them all but in a selfish way I wish they were home with us.

This is really hard on my wife as she can't stop crying. If you think about it say a little prayer for Alex and maybe my wife Chris too. Thanks

Best of luck to all your sons and we are thankfull for their dedication to our country. Both of our daughters are career Air Force. One is a Major and the other is a Master Sargeant. Makes us nervous but it can be a great career.
We'll be praying for all of them....

Our best to Alex. You and Chris I know are very proud to have raised such fine boys who now serve to prtect our freedom.

Children

Lamont, you and your wife have obviously been excellent parents, role models, etc... Your childrens choices in life reflect that in a way that not only ya'll can see but, also set an example for all of us young and old alike. GOD Bless:doorag:

Thanks for your help with BRP:ohyea:

I sat and talked with your son at the BBQ. Nice boy. He seems to have his a good head on his shoulders. We just touched on the military. He mentioned his brothers being on active duty. If I had it to do over again. I would go into the Air Force too. Smart move. He'll do fine. How old were his brothers when they joined? I asked him about the 223 spent casing on your porch. Ground hogs make for good targets. He is already got a jump on others recruits. Thanks to you DAD.
