• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

You know it's hot in Texas....

Yikes!

Sorry guys...64 degrees here in western Massachusetts...

 Well, yeah! :) But; the Spyder won't be so much fun there in Nov., Dec., Jan., & Feb., now will it??!!

Of course, here in the Midsouth, we have nasty stuff too in the winter. Not much, for the most part, though.

Yea we do but generally you just sleep a little later and by 2pm its all gone and its time to ride :D

New mod for the New England winters:

Two small child size ski locked to front Spyder wheels.
Either a modified rear tire or add-on tire chains to allow the Spyder to run over a snow pack without issues.

WHY IS THERE A PROBLEM IN THE WINTER. HECK I'VE RIDDEN IN 17 DEGREE WEATHER ON MY HARLEY LAST YEAR. AS LONG AS THE ROADS ARE DRY I RIDE. NOT ALL THE TIME BUT I DO GET OUT.COLD AS HELL BUT I STILL RIDE. I MIGHT THINK ABOUT HEATED CLOTHES TO RIDE IN THIS YEAR. GETTING TO OLD FOR IT.

You know what? You can always put on more layers or another coat and you will eventually get warm. But you cannot take off or do anything to get cool on a hot day. I know it sounds silly, but if you don't know about southern heat, you can't understand.

Us folks in the south laugh at the thought of a 64 degree day and dream of being able to wear a liner.

Of course, we have 80 degree days in January so it is nice. But summers are hell.

You just don't understand the heat :chill:

Usually at least once a year, it ices. And, these fine folks add to the drama. You see; people in this area aren't used to it. It's a bit hairy around here when it ices!

Granted, like Tim said, it usually doesn't last long. But, it's unpredictable. :)

Whenever I'm tempted to complain about the heat here in Florida I just remember that it never gets too cold to ride. That seems to even it out for me.

I will try to get a photo of me waiting on line at Mister tire next November to have them put one (1) studded snow tire on my Spyder!

I have never been to TX, but have heard about your stinkin a$$ heat. I can't wait for some jacket weather here in Florida.
It is nice in the am (6:00) when I leave for work 75 degrees, just wear a light sweatshirt. I am so over the rain everyday, come on cool weather, come on Oct, Nov.

 I do like your attitude!

When I finally get my Spyder, which looks like fall. I will be riding it in the colder temps. I don't mind though. I like the cooler weather for riding anyhow. Once it's too cold to ride and winter hits, It's snowmobile time for me and lots of trail rides!
