tonight it is 10 degrees, and wind is blowing with the wind chill it will be -25 Brrrrrrrr! But on Sunday 35 degrees sleet, freezing rain, rain, then the temps go back down to the -5 below Hurry up spring! Then next week snow, and at nights not so cold....... :yikes: :gaah::yikes: Deanna

Schools are closing here tomorrow because it's supposed to get into the single digit temps tonight. Never happened when I was in school.

Some schools were closed in Michigan yesterday because of the cold, that's just crazy.

North West, by the Canadian Boarder. The temp fell to a fridgid 47 F. last night but it is suppose to warm up to 53 today so not so bad, lol.. I really feel for you in the east, I hope you get past it soon.


Now if only that global warming would stop...........................

Back in the day...when it got this cold they allowed the girls to wear blue jeans to school. They had to change into the proper dresses and skirts for class though. This was public school and not parochial.

An update from Yahoo about the Jeep ice picture.

Shedding ice, mud, and salt layers: It’s a Jeep thing. This wild photo of a left-behind ice shell was posted by Reddit user Kevlar Yarmulke with no other details, but it’s obvious that there was a Jeep Cherokee previously sitting in this spot after it was given a nice ice bath (not the good kind).
So who’s going to make an art installation entirely comprised of “sculptures” like this? Imagine an icy Ferrari, an icy Morgan, or an icy Spyker. People would pay to see that. This gives an entirely new meaning to iced-out grillz.
