There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. You knew it had to come. New X-Wedge Walker WR1000 with a 975ci VTwin and a CVT transmission. No word on sales outside of China.x-wedge-debuts-as-new-cruiser-brand-from-china.jpg

Looking at their website, I see a cruiser, a bagger, a motorcycle with a side car, and a trike and a reverse trike.

Interesting, it looks they are partnered with Husqvarna somehow.

Chinese CFMOTO has been aggressively marketing in the SideXSide market for a number of years now, and these past few years they are hard at it in the two-wheeled market.
They are partnered with Austrian Motorcycle maker, KTM and have been slowly bettering their product. They are thousands less than their nearest competitors and offer more product where others are stripped down models.

The heart of any motorized vehicle is the engine.
ROTAX quality is known worldwide.
Their aircraft engines are legend.
The list of well known companies who used and have used ROTAX engines is extensive.
Nonetheless, the world is full of price-point buyers.

CFMOTO had been producing engines for KTM for many years and decided to get into full productions. I bought a CForce 600 T (two up quad) in June of 2022, a year later I gave it to my step son when I brought the KRX North for the summer. It is a pretty decent machine.

Yes I think you’re right about the partnership, I heard KTM is having engines and parts made in China. I think husqvarna and Ktm are in some kinda partnership.

KTM has a bunch of siblings, and builds a variety of products.

Most commonly, KTM fathers Husqvarna, Gas Gas, and White Power (WP) suspension. That is the motorcycle world.

Electric bicycles, is big for them also, often produced under Husqvarna name now. KTM may still offer bicycles under the KTM brand.

KTM also offered a high performance automobile, known as the Crossbow.

A few years ago, I did hear rumor that KTM set up a factory / production I believe in India, aiming to market small displacement city motorcycles.

No idea how they structured everything, but last I read, Pit Bier, created various sub groups as corporations he owned, while offering each some degree of independence.

Husqvarna has been wholly owned by a Chinese company for a while now. X-Wedge has some kind of tie-in with Harley according to the article. They say they have no plans right now to market outside of China. I want to know how the X-Wedge1000 CVT transmission works.

I know the brand intimately. Photo is of my 21' Zforce 800 Trail. (two engines in 1-year)
In fear that I'm being political, I cannot share with you my personal experience with the brand's corporate exchange with me through two engine swaps in the first 40 hours of use.
I can confess to once being a price-point buyer but not anymore. My next side x side will be a CanAm Maverick

KTM owns Husqvarna motorcycles. Not the larger Husqvarna Group. They have owned the brand since 2013. Before that they were owned by BMW for a short time.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Husqvarna_Motorcycles

KTM and Husky produces smaller bikes in India in a partnership with Bajaj. The 790 family of engines is produced in China in partnership with CFMoto. However, starting in 2023 the entire bike will be built in China by CFMoto.

CFMoto is making a big play to become a world-wide brand and making a large push into the North American market, FWIW. (Dakar team)

Also, BMW 310 bikes are built in India, also by Bajaj. Their 750/850/950 engines are built in China by Lorcin, but the entire bikes are not (supposedly).

The reviews on the Chinese produced engines are mixed, but generally good. The Bajaj produces bikes also have generally good reviews. Again, FWIW.

There WAS a Chinese knockoff Spyder from day one. Think GS/RS models. They were very cheap compared to the real McCoy and we used to post about them jokingly in the good ol' days.

A positive thing, maybe. When the Chinese get serious about something, they go for it. :dontknow:

A CF Moto 3 wheeler could be a decent one. Heck, I have as many CF Moto dealers in my area as Can Am dealers. Shipped parts from China can't be any worse than parts from Canada.
