You Guys were right again

My wife and I were on our way to town and stopped to get gas. Some bikers pulled up and started talking to us and invited us to a bike show for charity. So after errands we stopped by. Some great looking bikes by the way. But shocked me how many came and looked and talked about the spyder. Asking to sit on it and man you guys are right I really need to learn more. They were asking technical questions I had no clue about...:roflblack:....oh well but it was fun!!!!!

Rock Star?

It seems that every time I stop, for whatever reason, people come from all over to look at the Spyder. I have had them sit on it, look under it, stick their head in the front cargo. I had a bunch of those fold up info cards from my dealer, all given away to serious thinkers. My friends (2 wheelers) call me a traveling carnival show. Oh well, I can always catch up to them when I am done.

Bringing my :spyder2n a trailer to the dealer yesterday one car followed us for 5 miles turn for turn. When I stopped in the dealers lot to unload he pulled up right behind so I could not lower the ramp. For the next 20 minutes he asked all type of questions about the :spyder2:. I did my best to explain and several times told him to just walk into the showroom and talk to them. He said he did not like salesmen and wanted to speak to an owner to get the 'real' information. By then the tech was out in the lot waiting for me so the gentlemen backed his car out of the way, we unloaded the spyder and then he wanted to talk some more. Finely had to excuse myself. He never did go into the showroom.

Coming out of a resteraunt Monday with another couple (on an HD) I was stopped and I swear I thought the guy was going to make me an offer for my :spyder:. Spent 15 minutes giving the tour. . . . The others with me were starting to get annoyed though.

I don't have a thing in the world to contribute to this thread but I wanted to tell MMcc that I have looked and looked at your avatar trying to figure out what the bike is. Finally decided to look at your profile and I assume that it is the '63 Zundapp listed there. A very cool vintage bike. I have seen Zundapp dirt bikes but never seen a street bike. A very nice looking 2-stroke single. I bet it would get almost as much attention as the Spyder.

We also ride mostly with a couple who has a HD. She made the comment the other day "if you asked people if they were on a Harley people would have to take a second look to know for sure". She said it is kinda fun to watch all the attension it gets but :cus: there harley is nice to, lol.

I have the same issues while riding with other types of motorcycles. When we stop for gas they ask me not to tell people how to build a Spyder while there, and usually end up shouting to me that it is time to go. :roflblack:
