• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

You are what you ride

Having just got back from Daytona I spent a lot of my time explaining why I like/ride a Spyder. First off it's not a motorcycle, there is very little that is even like a bike. I've owned and ridden every motorcycle I've ever wanted to but the Spyder is so different than all of them, I think that's why it's kept a smile on my face for 3 years now.

Like I tell folks, I don't ride a Spyder because I have to, I ride one because I want to. I have a dirtbike and a 4-wheeler and depending on my mood I ride one or the other. If anything the Spyder is more like a 4-wheeler than anything else I ride, I don't have a problem with that. :doorag:

I say ride what you want but don't crap on another mans ride, he may just have what you're riding in the barn too.
I guess the main reason I don't ride my wife's Spyder more often (it IS a barrel of fun!) is because it doesn't lean and that keeps my dog from riding with me. On the Harley, the bike leans into a corner, and I and my dog along with it stay firmly planted in our seats due to centrifugal force. But when the Spyder turn s corner, centrifugal force tries to throw you OFF the bike and my dog, having no handlebars, goes flying off! I tried him on it once in the backyard and that was enough for him! he will ride my harley and my W650, but NOT my Spyder or my URAL. Not leaning in a corner is unnatural. Ask Thumper!

No, Spyders are NOT motorcycles. Spyders do not have two wheels, nor do they lean. Same as trikes like the hd ones - they are not motorcycles either. But yep - they get you in the wind and are fun to ride and to h#ll with what anyone thinks - ride what you like and have fun :)

AMEN SISTER

Enjoyed reading all the posts...but bottom line for me I DON'T Care I ryde the Spyder cause I can...never waste much time on what people say about me. And waste absolutely no time trying to worry about what they think about me...
I find HD purists reaction to Ms Spyder to be very entertaining and telling about what their character is...

While stopping at a fast food restaurant on a trip, I overheard the clerks talking about our "motorcycles". One of the boys stated "That's a senior wheelchair". After telling my husband, he went up and asked if he wanted to race against the senior wheelchair. The kid backed off real fast.

I wonder if any bystanders listening to that conversation :chat: could tell who was the Adult? :dontknow:
