Magicman,

I have a question for you. I am really considering your 90 degree elbow with the Micron Exhaust, do you have any idea if your elbow with this exhaust combo will work with the Corbin saddlebags? I am definitely going with the bags and not sure which pipes will still work.......I was also considering the Two Brothers but they look like the angle is too steep to work with the Corbin bags but that would be my first choice if I was sure it would work with the bags installed.

Thank you

I have the corbin bags on my Spyder and if you have the newer bracket from corbin they bolt right up. The only thing needed to do this is an additional front pipe exhaust gasket.

Thanks MM,

I will be placing my order within the next week or so with you. I will keep in mind to order the additional exhaust gasket as well........now is your statement true for either the Two Brothers or the Micron? Or are we just talking about the micron........I think I would rather have the two bros if fitment with the bags is not a problem.

Scott,

I saw the 2 brothers system at our local dealer. I know I am going to sound bias but I was not really impressed with it over all.

The muffler can was very nice.

But, the front pipe seemed.... well cheap?

Here are the reasons I say that...

The front pipe is made from really thin material which could or could not be just fine? But, it is a much thinner than both our pipe and the stock pipe as well.

Something I think might have been done for cost reasons as thicker material not only cost more, but is harder to work. Again, taking more time which means higher production costs.

Also, it uses no clamp at the collector pipe or gasket to help sealing, only relying on a spring to hold it in place on the collector. Something we looked at when making ours, but felt it was worth the extra cost to still use both the gasket and clamp to provide a better sealing at this location.

Last, the pipe diameter is much smaller than ether our pipe or the stock pipe, which has to flow less than ether pipe. It also does not make a nice smooth 90 bend like ours or the stock pipe does, but rather a 45 degree bend with a straight section and then another 45 degree bend just before the muffler. Our testing showed smooth type bends flow more easily, and although it is harder to manufacture is worth the effort in making. This along with the smaller diameter of their pipe would seem to possibly not flow as well as a larger diameter pipe with a smooth bend to it?

As for the 2 brothers system for working with the Corbin bags? I have the Corbin bags on my Spyder with our 90 and a Micron and, I know Corbin has a Micron system on their Spyder too.

For info on the 2 brothers system working with the Corbin bags you'll have to ask Corbin or 2 brothers, as I really can't say and don't want to tell you wrong.

I guess I should have checked your site first. I was assuming I would still need your 90 degree elbow even if I went with the Two brothers. So that part is solved I will go with the Micron as it sounds pretty wicked........the second part of my question I guess now that I viewed your site is this: Is it possible to special order the Scorched Titanium one and how much would that be....and if any delay how long?

Sorry for all the dumb questions, I am pretty picky about things on my bikes. The only reason I was considering the Two Bros was for the ability to put the silencer in the can for those long trips so I can hear my tunes....no other reason really.

Also do you find that your starter neon kit for the Spyder gives enough lights or should I also get a few more? I intend on having them under the front cowl, in the air vent on the side, under each of the three fenders to light up the wheels that I am going to have chromed and also under the corbin bags. ANy suggestions would be appreciated, I won;t feel like you7r pressuring me to buy more, I want an honest opinion as I would rather spend the money now than be disappointed later and have to reorder.....I want to do the tear down, paint, chrome and reassembly all at the same time and want as little down time as possible.

Scott - I wouldn't be too concerned about doing the mods in stages. This thing is easy to work on... you can remove all of the plastic in 30 minutes or less. :2thumbs:

Maybe not if you're careful. I didn't have to replace the gasket when I installed the MM Micron/pipe. I did, however, use a thin layer of high-temp silicone at both ends of the pipe for 100% piece of mind. :D

Magic man, I'm wanting to change my exhaust and so I'll be calling about you 90 degree elbow. My question is this, when you say any 2 1/4 exhaust will fit, does it matter if the slip on is for a 4 into 1 or 4 into 2? I came from HD so I'm kinda in the dark about these things. I'm wanting to go with a Jardine slip-on. Thanks

Just give me a call and I'll try to help you figure it all out.

Hi MagicMan,

I really like the two brothers better as far as look goes. I dont like that little pipe that hangs out of the back of the can on the micron. I like the angled smooth end cap of the two brothers and the bruce manufacturing. I agree with you on the cheaper pipes as I have been doing a lot of reading. Can we use your 90 with the two brothers or the bruce?

Sorry but our Street Magic Cycle Products 90 degree pipe won't work with the 2 borthers can, as their's is not a slip on design.

However, the new Yoshimura exhaust cans we now offer do have those same style end cap available.

You can check out all the cans styles in the new Yoshimura mufflers we now carry @ http://www.yoshimura-rd.com/ under their "street" section.

Yosh makes awesome pipes.. Have run them on several bikes and always happy with the sound and performance.. They make the Busa sound awesome and breath so much better..
