• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

yet another three wheeler

Holy Cow!!! That would take some getting used to. The handlebars do not turn. It looks like "press down on the left, press down on the right".

I think you could get into some serious trouble with that thing!!! The "good" kind of trouble!!!!!!

This kind of research and development leads me to believe we aren't too far off from Spyder competitors.. That bike looks like it has some of the best of both two and three wheel worlds

Interesting concept. Looks like a Piaggio plus. Did you note near the end where they almost lost it and run off the road on the left side? IMO, the next year or so will probably bring out some Spyder competitors.

After viewing that I can see a good reason to keep your spyder key separate and not to mount with other keys.

I was thinking the same thing !!! Did you see the speedo cluster bouncing all over the place ???

Yawn

It looks fast, uncomfortable and pretty much built for the X-treme (which is okay); but this thread also motivated me to do a quick skim for other 'reverse trike' innovations. Nothing has it down like the Can Am Spyder; whether in RS or RT variants.

What I DO expect, would be BMW, Honda or Yamaha coming out with a reverse trike. I simply don't feel that any market is healthy without at least some competition. I don't think Harley or Victory will go there. I would love to see reverse trike versions of a K1600GTX/L, a Goldwing 1800 (someone already has a quad prototype of a Wing) or a Star (Yamaha) big bike ... and I mean with all the techno-smarts and storage of the current Spyders.

For better or worse, you won't see a reverse trike 'version' of any current production model. To be safe, it has to be designed from the ground-up as solely a reverse trike.
