• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Yet another Rotax-powered vehicle...

That is one SWEET machine - and the price is good too.

Time to start saving!

Looks it the stock windshield should work fine!:D

Me too :thumbup::b2b:

Wings fold up for trailering. For some reason that gives me a vision of you towing one behind the Spyder.:D

Actually one of the new aircraft that falls under the new pilots license they created a couple years ago, the sport class. Supposed to make it cheaper to get into flying. They have the sport aviation expo here in Florida every year in January. They're selling a lot of planes for this new class.

So how much cheaper is a sports class license? I was always interested but could never afford it - lessons cost ALOT!

Depending on where you go, around $3,500. Which is significantly less than a regular pilots license. You're restricted to only flying sport class aircraft and cannot fly at night or in inclement weather (guess flying into hurricanes is out).

I've been trying to get info on this for a couple of years, nobody seems to know about it. I do know that a decent plane in this class can cost as low as 65K.

This sorta looks like a repackaged Seawind. One of my class members was working for a company that was building Seawinds for sale. These guys seem to have a little more advertising money, the Seawind people didn't have much advertising power.

Not bad but now how to I buy one of those?! I'll need another mortgage! They are cool though! I want one!

If you can afford flying lessons, do it! Although it's a very expensive hobby now-a-days, it is fun and rewarding. :clap:

I'm not current anymore and haven't flown for 20 years, but I do miss it.

I second the motion. It's been even longer for me, but it was fun while it lasted. Same with the dragsters, too expensive to stay current. Oh well, we still have memories...until the Alzhemer's kicks in.
