• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Yet another electrical question

I was reading an earlier post about an electrical problem in the vicinity of the front wheels.

I have tried to find the appropriate connector for small running lights "inboard of the suspension wishbone" as commanded by the insructions. I've had all the tupperware off in an effort to locate the durn thing. However, there is a connection just under the forward upper wishbone outboard near the wheel.
Is this the one the instruction refers to or should I keep on looking for another...?

Where does the wire run? If it runs to the clearance light on the fender, it is the running light wire (and ground).

I'm installing (trying) a set of ESI puk lights and the instructions call for finding a connection for the running lights on the fenders. Their system has a switch and obtains its power by intercepting the circuit to the fender running lights. That connection they indicate as being close to the rearward pivot on the upper wishbone close to the center of the machine. A short while ago I had the whole front end off to install upgraded shocks and BRP driving lights and I had my hands all over the machine and I couldn't locate such a connection.

However, very close to the wheel, beneath the upper outer front leg of the upper wishbone, there is a connector for the fender running lights. That connector is mounted to a clip which is part of the wisbone and I was wondering if this was, in fact, the connection the instructions refer to.
On the one hand, it would seem like overkill to have two electrical connections in the same circuit less than 24 inches apart.
But you never know.
I've looked through the parts catalogues with their exploded views but the images I need are very unclear in that area.
I'm going to do a lube on the suspension bushings so all the tupperware has to come off anyway.
I would very much appreciate any help or thoughts on this.

That should be the one. There might be an intermediate harness (I never have looked) but I would expect a second connector to be buried deeper, under the trunk, in that case. At any rate, it's all the same circuit, so it should work for your needs.
