• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Yesterday's ride

25 degrees yesterday her in CT. Beautiful blue skies, no snow on the road, a great ride & NO :yes:heat issues. Thank goodness for lined leathers & heated hand grips.

On January 2nd it was in the high 30s F. Had to go for a ride, went about 50 miles, I love the heated hand grips. I had a great time, the only problem I had. Was after visiting my sick Aunt in the Hospital, I got stuck, just a little ice in the parking lot and an uphill to back up, one wheel drive didn't work too good. I was able to push it back far enough to hit dry pavement. After that no problem. From now on I will watch where I park. The protection from the cold is great. I love my Spyder.

I took my first cold weather ride the other day and did notice that the spyder loves the cold air! Why does it run so well in the cold? The motor was very smooth...

I commute 30 miles each way in Washington DC. My commute temperature record is 24 degrees. The trike said 24 but my house thermometer said 21. Keep in mind, that's standing temperature so you can imagine the 65mph wind chill. If you're dressed properly, piece of cake. I won't ride on ice so I always give it a day or two after a snowfall to resume my ride.

I've wimped out at riding below 20 degrees and used "black ice" as my excuse.
