• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Yesterday I put in an order

for a set of 4" black anodized Handlebar Risers and the ice white Day Runners. I'll put the Day Runners on as soon as I receive them but will wait to put on the risers. I have Good Friday off but I would rather ride than work on the Spyder. It looks to me to be quite a time consuming job installing those handlebar risers. I could see myself tearing the Spyder apart and have something go terribly wrong. :yikes:

The 3" or 4" risers are pretty easy to install. I had enough cable slack on both sides which did not requirement me to clip the ties under the tupperware. Also the day runners are also straight forward and go on fairly easy. If there is any difficult part in installing them it would be feeding your hands into the center cavity to make the connections. I did it without removing the tires.

These are two great upgrades!

First time SM5 install should be about 1.5 to 2 hours, as by the time you get good at it the job is over.

We can now do it in about 40 to 45 minutes.

1.5 to 2 hours, good to know. That means it will take me about 3 to 4 hours if I'm lucky.

That is world class speed tatt2r. I'm not saying I doubt you, but I gotta see it to believe it. I'll be home Friday evening. You could slide on down the turnpike, install my risers and still be home in plenty of time for Easter dinner.:roflblack:
