• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Yes it’s the age old tire question… What's currently the best replacement?

My Sea to Sky has been mothballed for the last year and a half while I’ve dealt with health issues with my son. I’m trying to get back into the game and was wondering if the Vredestien Quatrac 165/60R-15 is still one of the top recommended tires for the front, or has a newer/better contender come along in the last 1 1/2 years?

I already have a newish Vredestien on the rear.

As I said in another thread, I loaned my spyder to my riding buddies 60 year old daughter who is in town for a week. I had cataract surgery on my right eye yesterday and would not be able to ride anyway. Well, she says she is not giving it back!!! When home in Colorado she rides his blue 2018 RTL and hates his white 2018 RTL. His blue one has a H/Duty sway bar. They both have Kenda tires. She has done a lot of riding with her father, including multi-state rides.

Mine has Vredesteins on the front and a General on the rear. Elka Stage One front shocks (that the original owner had installed) and the H/Duty sway bar. Handling blew her away. I told her to talk her father into getting over Kenda tires!!!!!

I put Vredesteins on 2 Spyders! Wouldn't use anything else!
In fact, I always say the the ride improved 100 percent on each one, ESPECIALLY in the rain!
I see your note that you ryde a 2014 RT-S. I’ve got the same and need new tires all around. Vredestein Quatracs, preferred.
Can you confirm the sizes that fit, please; Front— 165/60-15 & Rear— 205/60-15.

Do you know if local dealers are typically able to mount to Spyder rims? I’m in Connecticut and my go-to 4 wheel tire source is Town Fair Tires.
Thanks, hope to hear back soon.

I'm sorry, I sold it last year. Other folks can confirm the sizes.
Most tire dealers, (not Can-Am dealers) will do the fronts. You'll probably have to take the rear tire off and take it to them.

I'm in Connecticut as well. I bring my Spider's wheels to Town Fair and they can mount them but not balance them. I balance them myself at home.

I have put Vredesteins of on my 2018 RTs and have not balanced them. I have a set of Centramatic wheel balance that are currently not installed, as I can not tell anything different between have them on or off the Spyders. I also do not bother to balance my rear General Ultramax tires. Everything run smooth.

I will be taking the Centramatics to Washington with me, and I have a new to me 2018 RT (with 4100 miles on it with OEM Kenda tires) and waiting to get "retired"! So if new tires do not run smooth I can install them.

If I put PPA ORB wheels on this newer one I will install Vredestein 175/55R15 tires and if keep the OEM chrome wheels(which I kinda do not like) I will install 165/60R15 tires. The Generals I run on the back are 215/60R15's.
