• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Yellow banner stating my email addy is invalid and now can't send PMs

I opened SL this morning (as I always do) to find some big yellow banner at the top of every page stating my emal addy wasn't valid and that I would need to edit my settings to show a valid email address. My email address IS valid. It also says to "Notify AnthonyG via PM" that I changed my email. The site won't allow me to send a PM.

Obviously, I'm still a member and logged in otherwise I wouldn't be able to post this thread.

What's going on, here?
 
The internet is under heavy attack right now. Looks like a 'denial of service' type attack, where the net is flooded with packets, so yours can't get through. Huge reduction of bandwidth. There's nothing we (internet users) can do about it.
 
I understand a DDoS attack. It's not that I can't get through to something/somewhere. I get an error message stating I'm not authorized to send PMs. This yellow banner isn't due to a DDoS attack, either.

Not sure what's going on but something's amiss for sure.

Yellow banner's gone so that's a plus. I'll check to see if I can send PMs. Not sure what happened but hope AnthonyG lets me know in case it's some sort of scam.
 
I received a conformation form Anthony that he got my e-mail. You should have or should be receiving a direct PM from Anthony as to the why's and wherefore's.
