• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Yakima to Stevenson

Left Yakima around 10:30 am today and headed down Hwy 97 South. Stopped in Goldendale, had a doughnut and coffee. Went on down to the Columbia River, staying on the Wa. side, Hwy 14. Got to Stevenson and pulled into what used to be a Chevron Station that's now changing over to Sinclair gas. The Pep Pe Mexican food wagon was open and we ordered tacos and a pop there. Talked to him for a while. Got our food, sat out in the sun, and ate. Then talked to the owner of the gas station - coffee bar, sandwiches. She was happy to see me and the wife. Late last year was the last time we'd talked with her. Then, while saying good bye to Pep Pe, his wife and 2 daughters showed up to work. Talked to her and her hubby for a bit, then headed back. Turned off and went up thru the Klickitat area and came into Goldendale from the back side. Headed North from Goldendale and stopped at the Greek Monastery and had coffee and a slice of lemon cake. Got to Yakima, stopped at Costco, and gassed up the Spyder. Went on home. 'Bout 7 hrs ride, and then when home, I cleaned the Spyder. Had lots of smashed bugs on it and it was dusty. All cleaned up and ready for tomorrow. Might head over White Pass then up to Auburn before heading back home. Sorry that. this trip was pretty close to another ride we did down along the Columbia River and back. Good weather, not much wind, just a bit in a couple of places.

Nothing wrong with doing a similar route if it hits all the right notes, especially with that weather. Always feels good to get home, clean up the ride, and be ready for the next adventure. That White Pass loop sounds like a great follow-up. Ride safe out there!
