• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Y gasket question....

I had mine replaced with Honda gaskets on my 2008 GS around 9,000 miles. After 25,000 miles, the left side panel below the Y panel is much hotter than the right side; I can't keep my hand on the left side panel. I take that to mean the left side Y gasket has deteriorated? I've never read on here how long the Honda gaskets last; so, that's why I ask.

Again ... I think

I replaced mine at around 9000 on my GS ( OEM I think , dealer did it) and at 20,000 I think one is gone again . Are the Honda proven to be better ?

I wrote the DIY thread for replacing your OEM gaskets with the Hondas... and even included pictures. This was for a GS/RS.

I know that BRP did improve theirs after a bit, but I'd still use the Hondas. I had 25,000 miles on the Hondas and they were still good when I sold the GS.
