• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Went for a 6 hour ride Saturday and used the XM radio. It quit after about 3 hours. Anybody else having problems with short battery life. Their suppose to run for 5 hours. It did have a full charge and it's less then a year old.

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure I understand your question or perhaps the facts on which your question is predicated. I wasn't aware that XM radio was battery operated. My apologies if there is one. My XM, the one at home at least, runs on electricity from the wall outlet. My car and spyder radios run on electricity from the car or spyder battery. Is there a different set up? If yes, then I have no idea why it isn't working.

More about the XM radio

:agree: We really don't have nearly enough information yet...

Yes the radio that I have dose indeed have a battery. It's about the size of a wallet picture. I was told by the folks at XM that 12v wasn't available for the radio that I have. I plug it into my SCALA dongle for sound. It works and sometimes it doesn't. So I guess that I got a cheappy, the bike dealer got it for me. I get 15 hours on the dongle.

2013 ST-S Yellow, is there any other colour?:2thumbs:

There's so many different types of XM receivers... I've got the Onyx system hooked-up on my RT. It runs off of the 12 volt power plug, and works great!
You must have something that's quite a bit more portable... If you can't find enogh power to run it; you're limited to what it'll carry on it's own...
Sorry!

Can't help the OP, but I have an internal XM on my RT and have had nothing but trouble with it. I've almost given up on it.

I did not get the Garmin 660, instead I got the 665 and installed it. Bluetooth to Sena10 and it works great. I also get full time moving map WX and traffic. It has the "hockey puck" antennae which provides great reception for XM.

Anyone anticipating a GPS and wanting good XM, WX and traffic should buy the 665 not the 660. I also have the Garmin 550 with the same features on one of my BMW M/C's. Wouldn't leave home without it!

The traffic feature will automatically re-route you if desired in case of an accident ahead or road construction etc.
