• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

XM Radio

Anyone have the weather and traffic alerts in their XM radio subscription? There seem to be two kinds: (1) part of the large subscriptions but just covering the major cities and don't seem to offer maps, etc. but just text weather reports. (2) the NavTeq weather and traffic reports provide maps, radar reports, storm stats, etc. They don't seem to be included in any of the large radio subscriptions but, instead, have to be an addition at $7 per month.

Thus, a full subscription would cost $200 per year plus $84 dollars for the weather and traffic reports. Almost $300 per year seem way too expensive. This, at least, is how I read the XM site. Am I correct.

An alternative would be just to get the music subscription at $120 per year plus the $84 for the weather/traffic.

Anyone have suggestions or observations.

Btw, I know about Pandora and weather reports for my Iphone. I'm trying to ascertain the best plan for XM.
