XM AND CB CONFUSION

I had the xm and cb installed on my 11 Limited.
How does one turn the cb off.

On xm, when I change channels the radio always goes to 1 and to cycleup to a higher channel it takes a long time and if you pass the desired channel and attempt to go down 1, the radio goes all the way back to channel 1.
What does the word SLEW mean when dealing with the xm.
What does it mean when the word RECORD is displayed when tuning the xm.
ARE THERE ANY DIRECTIONS THAT CAN BE OBTAINED CONCERNING THE OPERATIONS OF THESE RADIOS. HELP :yikes:

Not sure if you can turn the CB off, but you can turn the squelch to its highest setting and only receive the very strongest signals as far as the XM it's a PITA to get to the station you want. As you stated in your post if you try to move up one station at a time it resets to 1, at least that s the way mine works as well .

Hold the squelch down button & it'll shut the CB off according to the manual. Your dealer should have provided you with all the documentation that came with your CB & XM radios. Go talk to them about getting them.

Couldn't determine if your RT is 10 or 11. Mine is a 11 Limited. On page 30 and page 37 of operators guide under CB screen the CB communications status can be RX, TX, or OFF. How to get it to be OFF is my question.


Page 35 under radio band XM is listed as a audio device and further under radio functions it lists Mute, seek. and slew(XM radio). SLEW?????


While operating the XM I got the word Record????????

I turn my CB "off" by lowering the volume to 0...not sure this is correct, but it works. I never have figured the XM radio out...it is difficult to program and I have no idea what "slew" means or what it does. I have not found any operating instructions on what it is...

My XM goes to 1 when I shut the Spyder off...BUT NOT ALWAYS???? duh

Hopefully the gurus will jump in and help us poor souls....

Push whichever multifunction switch button "Record" is shown next to on the display (Up, Down, Left, Right)
