There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. 5267-Middlebrook.jpg5267-Middlebrook.jpg5267-Middlebrook.jpgHad I been able to find a great pic of a Marine HUS (H-34 to the other services) I would have used it, all seemed very green, which of course they were - so here's my choice even though I've never flown the CH-53E, darn it. I also spent 28 years in the Delaware and Georgia Army Guard flying Hueys, so I have to put one of those somewhere, maybe one on each fender. Just remember, "The older I get, the better I was!" The BS at get-togethers is really getting pretty deep though, I remember the time ..............................................:yikes:

Nice!! I'll have to show this to a friend of mine. He's an ex marine and he really doesn't like my Spyder much. I'm sure he'll like this though!

Wrap

Looks good ! Who made the wrap ?:dontknow:

I found the pic among 1,000 looked at and I gave the idea to Robb at First Signs here in Canton, GA for the helicopter on top of the waving flag and the hel just happened to be at the right angle and thanks very much for the compliments, y'all. As I've said, I can't draw or make a computer draw even stick people. Robb did it and installed it.

That is SHARP! My son ships off to San Diego at the end of August for the Marines. We have the Viper Red RTS and were thinking of joining the Patriot Guard. I have some ideas for a custom wrap that I was going to send to Pete @ Powersportswraps that depicted the Marines and the American flag waving across one side.

Thanks, glad you like it. And Semper Fi to your son, as soon as he finishes Boot Camp. Definately do get what ever floats your boat for a wrap. I actually had a lady looking at mine today in a small shopping center and all she said, was "my God, what is that thing?" I used the snotty line that some Harley dudes use: "Lady, if I explained it to you, you wouldn't understand!"

Your son's recruter may have some pics, bumper stickers, the heavyweight round US Marine Corps decals like I have on the desk here, etc - can you see it ok with your mental telepathy? They last for years on cars, bike, etc. The local Marine Corps recruiters office in Canton is manned by about 5 NCOs and they are wonderful Marines and men. It's next to one of our grandson's karate place, so I stop occasionally to steal things to pass out to riders, high school kids, etc. The staff work really hard with the recruits before they go to Paris Island, SC, just down the road 6 hours or so by duce and a half or cattle cars (I'm sure they can't use the bus trailers hooked to a regular truck cab any more, like they use too.) They run these kids a lot and have about 20 at a time doing push ups, etc in their office spaces. Gotta get em ready to get em ready!! Lots of luck with your wrap project and tell your son I envy him. These young men get so much better 782 gear and weapons than the old stuff left over from WWII and Korea that my age group had. They probably think an M1 rifle is a toy - and it is compared to the weapons issued and trained on today. I can't imagine having all that modrn gear at your disposal, to say nothing about the aircraft of many types. God Bless them, one and all.

Nice job, Tuck. It looks great.

Those sign shops are neat. When I did mine I just got with one of the designers, told her what I was thinking and she came up with perfect wrap.

I am still debating about adding something to the back - maybe a submarine diving or something like that.

I recently signed up with PGR as well. Let me know if you come up with any ideas for carrying a flag. I don't have a hitch and I am lost for a place to put even a small flag.

Once again, great wrap!

Flags

Thanks, yours is superb. I don't want to seem too bias, even though I am, so I'm looking around for a helicopter or fixed wing from each of the other services. The back is a challenge, a diving sub idea made me think I'll put a diving aircraft or Cobra or Apache helicopter in the back. Gotta figure that out.

ISCI is a SpyderLovers.com sponsor. Click on their banner on the home page and you'll find the flag mount under the RT kit heading. When I had my hand brake system installed in Montgomery, I saw their flag mounting system and bought the tall kit - a little pricey, but designed strictly for the Spyder and solid as a rock. They are a wonderful group of people and Darrell, listed as the contact, is the President. Nothing like going to the Skipper to get something done, right? The kit even comes with a US Flag and ICSI flag. You can put a Navy or PGR one on the port side and off you go. It takes about a 12 x 15 or 18 flag. I'd go measure it, but it's pretty chilly to walk out to the detached garage in my PJs!! I've been a PGR member since the first year, but due to my 8 fused vertebrae, I can't stand on a flag line any more. The new Canton National Cemetary is about 5 miles as the crow flies and I attend a lot of the gravesite services, bringing my own chair. It's a folding red canvas chair, but the USMC sticker keeps coming off. Got to get a flag sewn on the back of it. It's the perfect passenger on the rear seat. Holds on to the bike with bungee cords and never bitches about anything. Take it to Rolling Thunder or where ever there's an authorized enroute delay.

Good luck on the rear mural and Darrell will take good care of you. There is no better flag mount that I know of. :firstplace:

Best to ya Sir.

CaptBlack is a submariner, he'd probably sell his bike if it had a carrier on the trunk. But a surfaced or diving sub with "xxtons of diplomacy" as a title would be superb for his project. I never knew I was claustrophic until I went aboard a sub in Malta or Sicily years ago for a meeting. It was tied to a dock and I'll readily admit, it scared the crap out of me.

I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I love sub guys, if they are on a sub, there's less chance for me to be there. They are heroes, no doubt about it, but surely not my bag. My DR scheduled me for a MRI last year, I have had open MRIs, but I wouldn't get in the closed one they were using - looked like a torpedo tube to me. The tech offered a "mild pacifier drug" - I told him to take it, I'm out of here. nojoke

Time to go to the Cherokee County airport and hug an airplane so I can recover from the sub thoughts above!

By all means show it to your friend. However, there are no such things as EX-Marines. They brand all Marines with the Eagle, Globe and Anchor while they are in deep sleep one night - in a secret spot!! In my case I think it was my brain, it doesn't remember that well any more. Ask him if he needs a nice Road Glide, it's wasting away in my garage.

Semper Fi to your Friend.

:roflblack: I had that very thought after I hit send! I'll have to tell him what you said too. He'll agree I'm sure. He always talks about his Marine days. I think he was in for 7 years. BTW...he has an HD Ultra so I'm not sure he'd want the Road Glide. He's going to Daytona this year and I'm almost positive he's going to come home with a HD Trike! He had an awesome custom paint job done an Ultra he used to have of the Marine Eagle/Globe/Anchor. He traded that bike for the one he has now. Someone got a nice paint job.

Don't let your Road Glide waste away...:wrong:....get out and ride it!!
