• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My wife and I left Portland Oregon for Monument Valley on 9/26. We have a 2014 RT Limited. We had a 300 plus mile section from Ontario to Salt Lake City. The weather was terrible, heavy rain and poor visibility with traffic zipping along at 70 plus miles per hour.

The bike handled flawlessly. I have a Kumho AST tire in the back. There was no hydro planning or cornering issues at all. I was using all my skills to stay in my lane, the visibility was such that I could only see a few hundred feet a head if me. My biggest worry was the idiot car drivers going 80 mph with such limited visibility.

I came to the spyder from a Honda 700 cc automatic. I do not believe I could have made that section on my 2 wheeler. Certainly not with my wife on the back.

The RT is a touring juggernaut.

By by the way my wife and I are safe and sound in MV.

Glad to hear you had a safe Ryde. I have a 2010 rt and have been impressed with the handling in bad weather.

Glad to hear you are enjoying the trip. Hope you can share some pictures of Monument Valley. That is photo heaven for sure.

My 08 RS hydroplaned through a dip in the road filled with water and the electronic stability control kept is straight as an arrow!

I'm glad you're appreciating your Spyder touring machine! You'll love Monument Valley. This is probably a better time to see it than in June, like I did. Ryde safe!
