• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

...spent the last 2 days trying to get insurance for my spyder.... :spyder: :spyder:
Contacted dealer (after getting 4 denials, and not because of my driving record) asking if he had any feedback from the local purchasers? He said that is the reason some people are backing out or delaying until the next shipment... few companies will issue a loan and even fewer will insure the spyder...too new.
Traces back to ba-zillion years ago when 3 wheelers were homemade and not really road-worthy.
...possibly why so many are showing up on Ebay??

I did not have any problem getting insurance through Allstate Insurance Company. My premium is $781.00 year.
Hope you will be able to secure insurance too ! Foremost insurance is also writing these policies.
Are you coming to Daytona?

Foremost wanted $3,000 per year....we will likely go with AAA. So far (well, until tomorrow) they think they can give me a policy at $400+ per year.
We live in middle CA and will not be going to Daytona. Promised husband that we can try to make it to the 105th Anniversary week at Harley Davidson in Milwaukee --if I could work out the 3 weeks needed for the trip. Really sounds like a pain in the :edit:
....literally, and lower back. So far, all the motels within 100 miles are booked.

I had alot of quotes from Progressive, Geico but they didn't offer uninsured motorist on their policies. I ended up with Nationwide Ins. Full coverage for $528.00 yr. They offer a discount if you have a motorcycle license or take the motorcycle safety course.

when i bought my spyder i call progressive those nut jobs wanted 1500 per year crazy then i called gieco thay wanted 480 per year with a 500 dect i moved it up to a 1000 dect it droped it to 380 per year i,d got that route

I am a serious insurance shopper. I hate paying more than I need to for coverage I hope to never use. There are a multitude of factors - some common, some personal - that will impact your rates.

Seriously you should try Fischer. I do not know what they will quote for you, but for me, with excellent coverage they beat ALL of the companies listed above and more.

Good luck!
