• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The spyder from hell, lemon of all lemons.
Well, it has been 2 months to the day since I picked up the spyder from Tousley Motorsports in White Bear Lake MN.
Carlo & BRP gave Art, the service manager, the ok to do whatever it takes to fix the spyder from hell. Art and his 4 mechanics replaced every electric wiring component and wiring harness that the could, everything.
Within the first 3 to 4 miles from the dealer service department, the demons raised their ugy head, when I shifted from 1st into 2nd, the rs se5 the auto trans, stumbled, went rump, rump, rump, rump, throwing me forward very hard and then the engine catching and throwing me backwards violantly, very, very dangerous. It seems that the computer does not know what to do & is searching. Its been one of our many, many first complaints.
It's obvious to us that they can not fix it. The spyder from hell, lemon of all lemons, because, God knows they have tried, they have thrown every new part they can think of at it. They can't fix it, it's jinked.
We've told Carlo & BRP that we are sick & tired of them wasting our valuable time.I'm 73 and my wife is in her 60's and wasting our tight monies on our unfixable machine.
We want & deserve our 2008 rs, se5, jinxed spyder replaced with a brand new 2009 rs, se5, red & black spyder sitting on Towsley's showroom floor for two years.
Carlo and BRP would save themselves time, money and face by just doing the right thing, by stepping up to the plate and satisfying a very loyal spyder owner.
I'm very surprised that Carlo has not gotten back to us yet.
Maybe Carlo & BRP think that if they ignore me I'll just go away.
I will not give up, I will not go away until I'm satisfied.
I have always had good results after writing to Mr. Jose Bisjli, pres. of CAN AM Spyder BRP. So, I will start putting together a letter to him and his 3 VP"s today.
Thanks to all.

I honestly don't know what to say at this point. This is painful just to read. And I do feel your pain, Sir. No one wants to be the one sitting in your shoes. At this juncture, if the option to have your Spyder taken to BRP's test center is still on the table I think I would go for it. There HAS to be an answer to this problem somewhere, and maybe if a test rider were to hop on board and have your problem happen to him or her they could get a better feel for what the problem might be and get her fixed.

All I can do is wish you the best of luck. I hope something good will happen for you soon.

If you can afford a Spyder and are serious about resolving the issue I suggest you take the same amount of time it takes for you to make these forum posts seek Legal Council.

Im agreeing with Scotty on this one. When you printed your most recent thread back in December, 1671 members read your story, and 43 members gave you some very good advice about getting the problem solved. Im recommending you follow some of the suggestions given by members. Nasty letters and demands will really not help your case. Legal help might, but the advice from the members has been very good.

Bob, with all that you have gone through with the Spyder and your dealer, if BRP wants to take it to their test center, let them do it. I don't think you will ever get that Spyder that's been at the dealers for 2 years. The best deal you will get from BRP is the tech center. They have, as I have heard, equipment that dealers don't have, and the expertise that dealers don't have. If they can't fix it, then maybe something else can be worked out. I am sure that your frustrations are valid, but I really believe that your dealer is at the end of his rope. Let BRP take it.

Thanks for all of your support & suggestions. I do read them all & take all of them into consideration.
I am sorry that I have been so repetitive on my threads, but I have to keep repeating myself because some members keep asking the same questions that have already been explained, and I don't want to not fill them in on the on going night mare that we have been living for over a year and one half.
As most of you know, we have been very, very patient, cooperative & mellow with Carlo, CAN AM & BRP, and have really, really held back on our so called nasty remarks, Carlo has been very cooperative & understanding.Towsley Motorsport feels our pain.
After you have walked a mile in our shoes for over a year and one half, then you will feel our pain and frustration.
I would like to know how you would react if you were in my shoes???
As most of you already know, we have talked to a lemon law attorney in Chicago, MN attorney general, and BBB.
Thanks to LaMonster & spyderlovers.com, & all of my friends, Carlo & BRP knows that I am out here alive and kicking. They know all of the support that I get from all of you, my friends.
I will not give up, I will keep fighting until I am satisfied.
Thanks to all.

I think your comment is very valid and reasonable. Think of it this way...if they take it, they are assuming responsibility for it. They cannot give it back until it's fixed...if they can't fix it, they really almost have to replace it...but at least this way, it's on their terms...only something positive can come out of this option.
