• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Works Performance Shocks - Good Product, Poor Customer Service

I purchased a new Spyder RT on January 24 and had my dealer order a pair of Works Performance front shocks at that time so the shocks could be included in the financing. I discussed the purchase beforehand with Tom Edison of the WP sales department regarding the custom setup on the shocks, etc., and he informed me at that time that it would be 2 - 3 weeks before I received the shocks.

At about three weeks after the order was placed both my dealer and I began calling WP regarding the status of the order and both of us had great difficulty contacting anyone who could help us. The person who answered the phone would transfer our calls "to someone who can help you" but we always got that person's voice mail, and the messages left were never returned.

The dealer finally got some information by insisting that the person first answering the phone at WP directly help instead of transferring the call. Apparently some part for the shocks was unavailable and delaying the completion of the shocks.

When I ordered the shocks I had planned a first trip (to Death Valley, Ca.) on the Spyder leaving March 8 and as that date grew near my dealer discussed this situation with WP, pressuring them to get the shocks to him before March 7. He finally got the shocks the afternoon of that date and had his tech work late and get them installed so I did have them for my trip.

My complaints are two: It took 6 weeks to get the order filled instead of the 2 - 3 weeks I had been told. Additionally, WPs performance regarding customer service by phone was abysmal. Others may have had better experiences with this companies service, but the above is a factual account of mine.

On the plus side, WP did provide two day or overnight shipping (not sure which) at no extra charge beyond the standard shipping rate. And, the shocks do seem to be a quality product that performs well, and I am happy with them. The great amount of adjustability they provide is a real plus.

Thus, my advice to anyone planning to order shocks from Works Perfomance is to order them well ahead of the time they are needed, ideally two months or more based on my experience.

Good product, Great customer service

My experience was totally opposite to yours.

Emailed Tom from Australia with details and shocks arrived here in 2.5 weeks. WP shocks work fantastically well for me.
