word processer ?

just had to buy a new computer .. now HP does not install a word processor program... you can rent Microsoft office by the month... but I know there some free
programs available.. I don't need a fancy complicated office program.. just need a word processor to mostly write & print letters & envelopes ... anyone know of a good free program that is available ?

Download "Open Office". It is free and you can download whichever ones you want . One will open Word, one will open excel etc.

All computers come with the ability to write and print . You should not have to get/buy any program for that but I am sure there is an app (free) for that....:thumbup:

Yep Open Office works on Linux, Mac and Windoze.

I've been needing a way to open .doc files for a while.

You can also use Google docs. Works just as well as Open office, but nothing to download.
