• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

WONDERFUL RIDE ON ST-S TODAY!!!

My wife and I took a ride today from Murphy, NC over the Smokies to Gatlinburg, TN. Total round trip of 195 miles. We left before 9 this morning and temp was 58 degrees. This afternoon on the way back, it got up to 85. We had lunch while in Gatlinburg and did some shopping. My ST-S was perfect and no problems. The only heat issue was the heat rising up from beneath the handlebars when we were in stop and go traffic in Cherokee and Gatlinburg. We were doing 5 to 7 mph for 2 to 4 miles in each town bumper to bumper. Once we got up to speed and the traffic thinned out, we were fine. My heart goes out to fellow Spyderlovers having extreme heat issues. I did have to apply heat tape to the panels near my left leg months ago and wrap the left exhaust. And my MC cap did melt in June after I had ridden 500 miles in 90 to 95 degree heat. Luckily it happened in my driveway! :yikes: No more heat problems after my dealer replaced the cap and applied heat tape around it. I also had the recall officially done last week. I've never had boiling gas and the gas cap is never hot after a long ride. Warm, but not hot! I don't know if my ST-S is the rule or the exception. My right foot does get warmer than my left foot if I ride long enough, but it is bearable because I wear riding boots and long pants. I sure hope BRP can get to the bottom of the heat issues on the '13 RT's and ST's.VisitedStatesMap.jpeg
