• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Won’t go in reverse or manually downshift

Johndeeredoo, you might want to start a new 'How-to' thread for this fix. Very useful information I think.

I think the best you can do here Pete is to start a page on your own computer and store these important fixes in your favorites. That's what I had to do.

We've got a whole Forum section devoted to 'DIY & How To or Step by Step Guides', and there's even a How To: prefix that you can add to your thread titles if you're posting up a 'How To [do something]' thread :ohyea:
But please, that prefix is not for asking 'How do I fix/do [whatever]?' questions. :lecturef_smilie:

So you can share any fixes that you think might come in handy later in there, or if you want to see how others have done something, search on the 'How To:' prefix and whatever keyword/s best apply - you can even search on just the 'DIY & How To' forum/section! And if you tick the 'Search Titles Only' box in the search parameters, you should be able to read/see what each thread is covering fairly readily without having to open each & every thread the search results bring back.

That does help. Thank you. Since I’m under warranty I’ll try the dealer first. If they say it’s bad and part goes on a long order I’ll show them your fix. They may make your fix for me while the part comes in.

Thanks for posting in the How-to-area. I always appreciate it when people share their experiences and it helps myself or others.:2thumbs:

A person might use a dab of JB weld on the end of that pin to make it a little longer also by the sounds of it!! Just a thought!!:dontknow:
