• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

With my apologies to Steven Spielberg

Nice video. What kind of camera are you using for that? I am thinking about getting one myself and am curious as to what others are using. This one appears to produce a good quality video.

I'm using a Drift X170 camera

Drift X170 Action Camera - Helmet Camera Central

Not bad, but there are two things that are suboptimal.

It eats batteries like no tomorrow. Even if you aren't recording, the screen is on and runs down the batteries. I turned the machine off as much as possible.

This is a helmet camera that I mounted on the dashboard of my spyder. I used double stick tape and that worked out very well. You might be able to see it in some of the stills.

Because it's a helmet camera, it has a fairly wide angle lens. It's nice in that it takes in a lot of scenery, but there is a disadvantage for motorcycling. When I post the Dragon Run, you'll see that the wide angle lens makes the curves look very shallow. Later when I post the Devil's Triangle, you'll see switchbacks coming up, but once I'm in the switchback the turns look mild because of the wide angle lens.

In fact, the lens is so wide angle, you can see part of the support frame for the windshield in the shot when I have the shield raised.

Other than that, it's pretty OK. The double stick tape allows me to mount the camera when I want to for a trip, but I don't have to deal with it for my daily commute.

Nice Video. Good compilation of video, stills and soundtrack. What program did you use to put it together? Pinnacle Studio?

Another great video. I need to get back up to The Dragon, and the surrounding roads, and take my wife with me now that she has her own Spyder.
