• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

With apologies to Superman...

In my estimation this is a dumb move on GM's part. The two seater doesn't go far enough on a charge to make it practical for anything but in city use.

I think the Spyder is more along the lines of what needs to be produced for alternative transportation.

Well, that's just my opinion. I guess it's good news for Segway in NH. Maybe there will be some local jobs because of this merger.

I have to disagree this is only a prototype after seeing on good morning America you can do 35 miles at a cost of 35cents and is only for city use and in no way it will look like that upon completion.
America is all about R+D just my 2 cents:2thumbs:

On that little thing, you better ALWAYS look both ways at the intersection ! I bet a Chevy truck can put a pretty good hang time on thet thing when it hits it !

Didn't Lamont just have a post the other day about some who couldn't or wouldn't accept the :spyder:because it was new and different and "outside the box" of normal? Why should't this be given the chance to succeed or fail?

Is this where the bailout money went?
Let GM fail, especially with stupid things like this.

:agree: Let them declare bankruptcy, get rid of the unions, and rebuild...they already squandered 17 billion of our dollars...nothing will change as long as there is a union...easy economics...look at cost to build and compare with non-unionized companies...no comparison...

Like a cramped rocking chair with wheels. Not no, but NO THANKS! That would increase road kill signifcantly.

I don't no if their is a need for this item but if they are using bailout money then let them fail. here is another story some might not be aware of Sprint the title sponser for nascar spends 10 million dollars a year to have that right. their contract is for 10 years if my math is correct thats 100 million dollars. a few months back they laid off 8000 employees. Now wouldn't 10 million have kept those people employed? I just don't understand what people are thinking? :banghead:

My disgust for GM aside, I guess I'm nerdier than you guys cuz I would totally rock one of these. Except mine would have spikes on it and shoot flames from the tires.
