• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wish me luck!

Been reading this board for awhile now, learning as much as I can before I actually plunk down the cash and drive away….

and please allow me to add my cheers to the do's & don'ts thread…it's gonna be a big help….

for TOMORROW, I pick up my 2014 RT-S at Arctic Adventures & get to drive it 2 hours home to NJ!

been drooling over the Spyders since we first started noticing them a couple years ago, then last summer, on a whim, we stopped into Arctic Adventures & MaryEllen spent a great deal of time and patience with a couple of n00bs making me (and more importantly, my wife) extremely comfortable…because she was so helpful, I'm schlepping back up there to give her my business….

Took a MSF class Monday/Tuesday, got the M endorsement right after, went to a Can-Am demo tour today, and tomorrow I get my ride!….after which I will take a VERY conservative, somewhat slow & exceedingly careful ride down to NJ….please send good vibes starting at appx 1100EST (I'm a little nervous, but hopefully in a way that will just keep me on my toes!):yikes:

reading through the various threads here, I've learned a great deal, for which I am most thankful…I hope to be able to equally contribute as my Spyder adventure rolls on!

Try to stay and the back roads and take it slow until you get used to it. I put close to 250 miles on mine the first day. Godspeed

Relax..!!

you will be fine. Do some practice runs around the parking area and then head on out. Try to take some back roads it helps..congrats on your new ryde..be safe and enjoy your ryde home..!!:ohyea:

:welcome: and :congrats: on your new :spyder:..............once you get it home then you need to start the "farkle" process!:yes:

Congrats on your purchase. Take your time and stay alert, keep a light grip on the bars and you will do just fine. Enjoy your ride!
 To your new adventures

Arctic Adventure crew

Maryellen and the rest of the crew are terrific. I take the 117 mile trip from Long Island NY when I need service. I don't think you will find a better dealership when it comes to service and just down right friendliness. Lots of luck with the new ride!

Congrats. I agree, take it easy and on the back roads. You'll be cruising like a pro before ya know it.

:welcome: Whereabouts in "New Joisey" are you? (What exit? :D)
We're less than an hour from Port Jervis; perhaps some rides can break out... :2thumbs:

1st Ryde!

So I got to pickup my RT-S today at Arctic Adventures….Tom & MaryEllen & Karen & Buck were MOST wonderful and helpful & courteous & kinda & all of that kinda good stuff…took a nice ride down to NJ where I got to experience back roads, small towns, school busses, tree trimmers, construction & off & on rain (yay)…all was good….even got to make my way through a REALLY nasty highway interchange (where rte 17 merges with I-287 for a bit….) and I DIDN'T pee my pants:yikes:

It just fits into my newly cleaned out garage, and I even washed it before putting it away! (we'll see how long that lasts…)

today was a gooder day

It took me a good 500 miles before my nerves settled down and I started to feel comfortable. The more you ride it the more you will love it. :congrats::welcome:
